We stayed 2 nights from New Year’s Day 2026 on our way from the Cape to the Indian Ocean, thru the Karoo. I was attracted by the naming of it, a Boutique Hotel and Spa, therefore I booked the place, at 713,- Euros for 2 nights (that’s roughly ZAR 14.000). There are a couple of rooms at the main house, but we booked one out of two seperate houses, Villa Stella. That villa is really back off the main area and very private. It has a quite unique design with a lot of features available, like a fireplace or a jacuzzi, and a pool. Our experience was quite mixed, with partly very good aspects, but also quite low level things that sum up bad. Pros: Nice hosts, very supportive with good communication. Outstanding breakfast, extremely broad and fresh, you wouldn’t miss anything, just amazing. A very very nice SPA area (haven’t used, but visited). A very nice community pool area with some separate privacy huts around the big pool, and lovely and peaceful gardens around. A separate and very private little Villa with nice touches and a kind of a special atmosphere, Within a very calm and impressive Karoo landscape, just outside Montagu.

Pjure Boutique Hotel & Spa truly feels like a hidden sanctuary perched on a hill above Montagu. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the incredible location, the peaceful atmosphere, and the beautifully modern interiors filled with thoughtful personal touches.

Very friendly owners and staff. Beautiful rooms, incredible breakfast and very relaxed atmosphere. But, most of all: a top of the bill spa (hammam, Turkish bath, whirlpool and the best massage). Great experience!
