Overview
Located 200 metres from Avalon Springs and set on a 2.5 ha private estate, Montagu Little Sanctuary - Hot Spring Access at reduced price in Montagu offers 4 elegant self-catering accommodation and a mountain cottage dubbed "Eagles Nest". 2 private pools, one being a natural pool, filled with underground water. The natural pool is not treated with any chemicals so guests can enjoy all the natural benefits. To follow water-wise policies and water conservation, this water is also recycled into the garden. On watering days, this pool is not available for swimming purposes. The spacious 70 Sq.M luxury apartments are equipped with a lounge and dining area, a TV with selected DSTV channels and a spacious bedroom. The luxury units feature a spa bath and steam shower. Patios are furnished with outdoor furniture and a Weber-style braai. Eagles Nest Cottage stands alone for those wanting to be closer to nature and more isolated. It is situated near to the natural swimming pool. The small kitchenette and bathroom with shower only, offers all the basic requirements for a comfortable stay. A TV with a small handful of movies/series (DSTV not available). Eagles Nest is that cottage to choose, if you want to get away from it all. Guests can prepare their own meals using the kitchen facilities in all apartments. A few restaurants are located in Montagu town itself, only 3km’s away. Activities in the surrounding area include wine tasting, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, bird watching and golf. The Montagu Golf Club is 1.4 km and the scenic Route 62 on our doorstep.

We liked the facility very much; the only downside is that the kitchen was a little small. Otherwise, everything was nice.

Darlene is an amazing host and human being with a bubbly personality and very friendly. Willing to go the extra mile. Thoroughly explained everything on arrival and gave good tips on what to visit and where to go and eat. The steam shower and spa bath in the room is awesome and a must experience.

Grant who initially met us at the property could not have been anymore helpful. Loved the location of the little cottage. The views are stunning and having a swim in the freshwater pool at sunrise was an added bonus. The fresh flowers in the room were so pretty and even though the cottage is dated it was super cosy and had everything we needed. Thank you to both Grant and Darlene who are perfect hosts.

Very private. The cottage is nestled against the mountain with a beautiful view. We were made to feel very welcome and guided as to places to go, where to eat and what to do. A very comfortable and secure place to stay. The hot springs are in walking distance and available to guests.
