On arrival, there was no receptionist, the intercom was not answered, and two alternative phone numbers went to voicemail. This was extremely disappointing after a ten-hour drive. We had to leave before breakfast was served at 8 a.m. It is not recommended if arriving late (we arrived around 8.00 pm)

We were planning to arrive between 22-23 and as on the booking front page information field it said check in could also done contactless. As we were driving and noticing we would be late for the 22 check-in time, we called several times and also sent messages asking about the contactless check-in. No one never answered to us. We ended up having a flat tire around 10pm and therefore needed to wait for the road assistance to pick us up etc. We did not want to take the risk of driving to the hotel after midnight and ending up not being able to do the check-in so we had to go to another hotel. Very unpleasant experience with no response or guidance.

“The hotel is a modern, clean building with friendly staff, set in a lovely town.”
The hotel was easy to find and, from the car park, has a lovely view of the castle. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Breakfast was mostly self-service with a good selection of cereals, meats, cheeses and bread, Cooked eggs could be ordered.
