Fabulous room! We loved everything. Although we did not meet Serge in person, his communication was outstanding! The most clear and concise instructions for checkin and recommendations for restaurants we have ever had. The room was spacious, warm and cosy. Bed was incredibly comfortable, bathroom was huge with seperate toilet. The decor was gorgeous and even the mugs, cups and saucers were beautiful. Absolutely impossible to fault. We had the best nights sleep, whisper quiet as house set back from the street. Ample secure parking and a stones throw from town. Perfect!

Serge was the perfect host. Very friendly and enthusiastic. The room was beautiful and the location great with a big free car park. The town Mons was our first night in Europe on our 12 day adventure and we definitely recommend a visit to this town. The day after, Serge told us we could stay until 12pm as there was a market on down the street and we wanted a good walk round the town before moving on.

Loved the apartment - really full of character and really comfortable.

The Maison is an old "hotel particulier" - think of the town residence of a wealthy family from a couple of hundred years ago - and has been restored with that in mind. The rooms are decently large and well-appointed, quiet and tastefully decorated in tune with the age of the house. It's not trendy, but it is delightful. The bed was huge, soft and comfortable, and we could sleep really well, especially since each room has a very quiet but effective air conditioning unit. The owner has not scrimped at all; the bathroom is huge, with both a full bath and a separate shower, two washbasins, marble (?) walls and floors, and soft towels. Even the tooth-mugs are of impressively heavy glass. For a night, we were the guests in a stately home.

Superb room with great facilities. Cotton, luxury bedlinen. Helpful host. Very nice shared kitchen. Too bad the WIFI was down, otherwise this would have been a 10+. We will return.

Very convenient location, town only a 5 min walk, but still very quiet as the property is set back from the road. Love the ‘shabby chic’ decor. Host very amiable. Scrupulously clean.
