“Peaceful, relaxing, clean, great breakfast and lovely staff”

We loved our stay here, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel and rooms were spotlessly clean, it was the perfect place to relax. Also the hotel breakfast was excellent! A few minutes walk from the medieval square with great restaurants, it feels like a place from another time in the best way.

We loved everything about this hotel. It looks beautiful from the outside, but it won’t prepare you for the inside…..stunning!!! Monells is beautiful making it a fabulous base.

Very nice rooms, the breakfast was very complete, and it's a nice area to travel by car to different beaches in Costa Brava. Monells is a nice town to see, as many other medieval towns in the area, and it only takes you an hour.

This really is a beautiful hotel set in an extraordinary mediaeval location. Everything about the hotel is 5 star, including the hostess & hostess. Rooms are very comfortable and modern with doors opening onto a private terrace area where you can relax with a beer. Buffet breakfast was very good with plenty of choice of fresh ingredients. Everything you could hope for.

We received a very warm welcome at this small family run hotel. The hosts, Josep and Sandra are very pro-active, and keen to ensure you have everything you need for an enjoyable stay. There was an excellent buffet breakfast of Iberian hams and cheeses with a good variety of fresh bread, and plenty of fresh fruit and pastries. Also, a good selection of teas and excellent coffee, all served in their attached restaurant Monki, a very popular dinner venue serving superb sushi, and other Asian fusion style food. Highly recommended!

Excellent hotel in one of Catalunyas hidden pearls..(Monells) hotel is beautiful situated, rooms almost new an with good amenities.. super spot to visited the inland but also make day trips to the coast. Sandra and Joseph and the staff make you feel welcome..
