“Sensational experience”

This is a very special antique house in a magnificent isolated location (although easy to access on sealed roads): on a narrow isthmus 10kms from Molde - but a world away. The house has been lovingly restored in its original configuration (bathroom/toilet downstairs, bedrooms up a steep staircase) but with a modern kitchen - beware also, low ceilings. Modern heating kept us as warm as toast. An experience really worth having!

The location is spectacular - the photos do not do it full justice. By car, it is very close to services in Molde but also to tourist attractions further south. It was superb to have our own beach and forest. The house is very cosy and there are wonderful views from all rooms. The host Jannicke was extremely welcoming and helpful.

Exceptional stay! Super cosy house, old as a museum but very comfortable with modern amenities where needed. Everything you need for Hygge vibes — candles, coffee, nice heating, outdoor fireplace/bbq, stunning but calming views, and absolute silence. All sparkling clean despite of rustic-looking setting. Plenty of ways to feel relaxed but also plenty of additional activities. 100% recommend this fantastic place and its caring hosts.

We stayed for 2 days in this charming house and loved it! It is very clean, the beds are super comfortable. The host is welcoming and kind. It is also close to the Atlantic Ocean Road. We recommend booking if you’re looking for a peaceful stay in the area. You won’t be disappointed! PS: We loved the piano!!

“Wonderful location on an island, large house, totally quiet, very good equipment, affordable price.”

Wonderfully renovated ancient traditional Norwegian family home. We were alone in a 2 floor house, well equiped, nicely furnished. A charming atmosphere and amazing landscape. Keys were at the door when we arrived. Our family of 5 stayed 3 days, a perfect place for us. We could explore the Island by foot, it is very quiet, there is a small group of sheeps roaming nearby. We met the host on 2nd day, she is very kind and responds quickly to any demand. They let us use a small motor boat at a really good price to explore around Bolsøya Island. We wish to come back again !

The house is in a great location. For taller people it is a great reminder that shorter people used to live here in the past :) Janicke was the best and kindest host during our almost month long trip through Norway. Very, very nice in personal communication. She gave us lots of tips for the area. We were sorry that we had so little time in this area. We would love to come back for a longer stay.
