we were a bit concerned at first, when we booked, due to not being able to have a room with private bathroom. this turned out to be a non-issue in the end, as the shared bathroom we used was very clean and well kept, only shared by a handful of people. the farm is awesome and the surroundings are beautiful! staff is very nice and the food is tasty. it's here where we had the tastiest rhubarb pie on the whole island - it's a must!

The site is beautiful and the village charming. Our cottage was not available because of the snow storm, but we were installed in a lovely guesthouse with a warm living room and a great kitchen. The personnel was very kind.

There were no much guests so we were upgraded to a separate hotel rooms, which were amazing, The retro vibe there was impressive, the rooms were perfect, and the lounge was the place, we didn't want to leave

“Magic in Iceland”

Location, staff, food, facilities. This place is honestly magical. More so in the winter with the snow. If you're traveling around the island, you have to stop here. I'd move tomorrow if I could!

What an amazing house! Very cosy with a fire place and nice common room area. Would very much recommend to stay there, in case you are coming there in winter, be sure you are an experienced driver and have a 4x4.

“Beautiful place, away from it all”

Beautiful setting and seeing the gorgeous Arctic foxes that live around there playing with the farms dogs made the stay. Room was lovely, it was nicely decorated and had a good spacious bathroom. Nice communal area with seating and kitchen area. Lovely breakfast included with a good choice. We also ate in the restaurant for the evening meal and enjoyed the food. It was off the beaten track and our most expensive stay of the holiday, but would definitely go back.

Amazing place, beautifully warm cabin that was so nice inside. New kitchen with anything you could want and just across the road is an amazing place for dinner/breakfast. The cannonball size doughnuts are amazing :) There was a dusting of snow on the ground which made it all the more magical!

EVERYTHING! Staying in one of my favorite places on earth with the most beautiful view in a meticulous room was great. Breakfast great. Cute baby foxes and nice dogs.

“we never got there sadly.”

we didn’t get to stay sadly. the snow had closed many roads in the days before. we emailed the property the night before our stay to ask about access as the official road safety websites looked like access was closed off the full length of the side road from the ring road. we heard nothing that night or the next morning either (still looking closed) and as we have a child we decided we simply had to book something else that was on an open road. eventually heard at 2.15pm from the host that the road had opened (on a much warmer day where much snow melted during the day) and no refund was possible. we know it’s Iceland, so we take our chances in October but speedier communication would have been welcomed (and saved us money). sorry not to visit. we had been looking forward to it.
