“Good hostel with enough shared facilities in a beautiful fjord”

We liked a lot the location : even if it is difficult to access to the hostel, it worth driving there. this is the most beautiful fjord we discovered (and we were amazed when we crossed the mountain pass to reach the place). My son and I enjoyed the family room size. Facilities are enough for the occupants (kitchen, separated toilets & showers rooms) and the kitchen is well equiped. Very clean and quiet place with mountain or lake view. Free parking of course. Good wifi. Easy check-in/check-out but without meeting any staff

Best of Best location we have stayed in Iceland. The way toward the guest house is bit tricky due to gravel road (not F-road). the speed limit is 20-30 KM/Hr. There is a chance you might get flat tire (We saw one guy had it). Be prepared.

“A unique stay”

Excellent communication from the owners. We sued the kitchen and the views from here at 6am were amazing. We had non problem but be aware that the roads are steep and gravel, but beautiful. And it does take time to drive them as you must go slow. Cool little church nearby and sheep, geese and other wildlife roam around

Cosy guesthouse in a tiny settlement at the edge of the fjord. Great location to get away from everything and relax in nature. Facilities are basic, but you have everything you need.

The Location was just amazing. The road to reach the place is adventurous but for us it was manageable, even with a small citycar 2WD in rainy conditions. Amazing experience. The views of the fjord were just stunning.

The location is a bit hard to get to because of the bumpy road, but the view along the road is great. We checked in at night and Margert, the hostess left me a note with detailed instructions to get to the room and get the key. I feel warmly welcomed. I let my phone at my home, but when I get home, I found a message saying I could cancel the booking for free because of bad weather (which did not affected me actually). And my stay was pleasant. The best part is the price, it is very attractive.

Fantastic location, very interesting drive. Place met every need (though kitchen seemed a little sparse on some utensils). There was a nice common area and I believe they even had a shelf full of board games etc. for some entertainment. Plus wifi...

The fjord around is an incredible view, while arriving by the mountain, or simply enjoy it from the guesthouse spot.

Beautiful fjord-side spot

Clean accomodation with everything you expect to have. The road to get here is a gravel road and it is a little bit long, but the scenery you see on the window is worth it. We were lucky and in the morning in which we checked out we were able to see some whales in the water which was an amazing bonus!

The location was as advertised - but for this accomodation the journey was the reward. Still, especially with a small car (Hyundai i10) the ride was adventurous but doable. Enjoy the view from the mountain top while driving and inside the fjord after arrival.
