Overview
Located right in front of the Miyazaki Marine Park Beach, Luxze Hitotsuba/Cottage Himuka offers a tennis court, a fitness centre and bicycle rentals. An outdoor pool is available in summer. Apartments feature a balcony, a kitchen and free wired internet. All apartments come with a living room with a sofa and a flat-screen TV. They have a microwave, a fridge and a dining area. The bathroom has a bathtub, a shower and a toilet. Toiletries, towels and kitchenware are provided. Guests at Hitotsuba can enjoy pool-side barbecue in summer, and rent Nordic walking equipment. The drink vending machines and free parking are available, while massages can be arranged. Restaurant Himuka serves Japanese and Western breakfast. Cottage Himuka/Luxze Hitotsuba is a 25-minute bus ride from JR Miyazaki Station. Miyazaki Airport is a 30-minute bus ride away.

“A haven amongst the pines”
We had stayed at Seagaia Forest Cottages before in August 2023. It has a main condominium building and a collection of multi-apartment buildings, amongst a pine forest behind the Hitotsuba toll road. The staff were polite as always. It was nice to see the gym are now free, but as a parent the opening time was too late at 10:00 AM. The outside pool is small, but maintained by friendly staff. On a very hot day they gave us ice cubes to provide additional cooling and sprayed the pool from a hose. The location is close to the Aeon Mall and a good variety of restaurants (yakiniku, kaiten sushi, ramen, etc). It is easy to get to highway and toll road for adventures beyond Miyazaki City. My surfboard bag was lost by ANA en route to Tokyo. This caused a lot problems, finally resulting in having to ship the bag to our Miyazaki hotel. Forest Cottages were very helpful, paying the costs on delivery on my behalf. There was free parking close by. It did get busy with the arrival of various school groups. I am sure we will be back again.

This place is huge..there is a large hotel plus quite a few cottages as pictured. We actually stayed in a group of apartments that were a bit different to that pictured. The site looks like it had big plans but when we were there there were very few people around. Maybe in summer if would have more people and maybe a nicer vibe if the pool opens (dirty and unkempt when we were there in April). So a bit on the tired side but pretty cheap also. Location was great and plenty of bikes to hire which was nice to ride through the foreshore amd forest paths

“Dissapointing”
We were very disappointed with the quality of the furnishings, the beds, the bed covers and blankets. The property is severely poorly managed. The building needs a face lift with new paint. It looks like it hasn't been repainted in years. The property, on the other hand, has tremendous possibilities if only the management would take the time to care for it.
