It exceeded my expectations. Great value to experience a ryokan with an onsen. The staff was very nice and hospitable. Having no shower area in our rooms made it feel more like a traditional experience for my friends so everyone had to go to the onsen.

Great location, the view from the room was awesome! Had a comfortable stay. The staff were very helpful. There is a sento (separate for men and women) and snooker table for recreation.

“Couldn’t recommend this place enough! Do not let other reviews turn you off it. You won’t regret staying here!!”
This hotel was the last hotel available on the day we were booking. We saw the reviews had been quite negative so we were nervous, but it was the best we could afford…When we arrived we were blown away from the minute we stepped inside the door. We were provided with slippers and robes(kimono?). We were shown to our room which looked like all the photos we have seen of traditional Ryokins. It had the table and chairs on the floor and we had to make up our beds on the floor too! We were so delighted with the stay! It was a cultural experience from start to finish at such a reasonable price! Especially since we had considered splashing out to get to have the Ryokin experience! There was also an Onsen on the bottom floor which we had never experienced! Despite all the poor reviews we still wanted to try it ! We were so so impressed! There was shampoo conditioner body wash, body lotion, face wash, face cream all provided ! Others there were so helpful in explaining how it works. In the morning we were going down to bus stop again and the man working in the hotel offered us a drive as it was raining and we all had 2 bags. There was also an amazing restaurant only a 5 minute walk away
