Overview
Located at the foot of the Karwendel Mountains in the Bavarian Alps, this traditional guest house is just a 10-minute walk from the historic centre of Mittenwald. All rooms have a balcony/terrace. Gästehaus Döring offers peaceful, rustic rooms with TVs . A private bathroom with hairdryer is provided in every room. Guests can start the day with a large breakfast featuring regional products. Restaurants and cafés can be found in the town centre. Hiking and cycling trails begin outside the Döring. Cross-country ski tracks are 500 metres away, and ski lifts are 3 km away. Free storage space for bicycles and motorbikes is available at the guest house, in addition to free parking for cars. After a long day, guests can relax in the garden or on the terrace.

“Clean rooms, decent breakfast and good view.”
The rooms were clean and sufficient. Breakfast was basic sufficient. I did not meet the hosts upon arrival, but the instructions to get the keys was easy to understand and there were no issues. The room had a nice view of the mountain from the balcony. Overall, it's a nice place to stay in Mittenwald.

I asked for a cattle to boil water whenever needed but the owner instead brought me a thermos with hot water. Not so convenient.
