“Beautiful setting but expensive given service quality”

Idyllically situated away from the business of coastal Mirissa with direct views out to the lagoon and spectacular sunsets. The property was clean, the room spacious as well as the bathroom - well equipped, comfortable and enjoyed the infinity pool.

Everything was excellent. The location and outlook over the garden and lake was beautiful and very peaceful. The staff were helpful and always available.

“Wonderful Stay”

I stayed at Atulya Lake on my own and had a truly beautiful experience. The location is simply breathtaking, with stunning lake views that create an immediate sense of peace and calm. Waking up to that scenery each morning felt very special. The staff were exceptional. So warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. As a solo traveller, I felt very well looked after. Their care and hospitality made a real difference to my stay. The food was exceptional, delicious, fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Every meal was a pleasure, especially with those incredible views as a backdrop. The property was spotless throughout. My room was very clean and comfortable, and the whole environment felt serene and well maintained. There is a stunning temple nearby which I visited regularly, I also went kayaking a few times on the lake. A wonderful place for anyone looking for tranquillity, beautiful views, and heartfelt service. I would happily return.

“A relaxed peaceful wonderful hotel in a great location”

We stayed here for four nights.We liked the location by the lagoon which had wonderful views and was very peaceful and enjoyed the wonderful swimming pool and garden.A lovely 4km walk into Mirissa town and beaches through countryside or a short tuk tuk ride.The hotel room was spacious and very comfortable.The staff were very friendly and attentive and the manager was very helpful.I had a wonderful massage in the spa.The food was delicious.

Our stay at the Athulya villa lake view was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived until our reluctant departure, every detail was perfect. The location offers a truly breathtaking view, and the sunsets were spectacular—a vibrant, unforgettable display of colors over the lake each evening. The villa itself was impeccably clean and absolutely gorgeous. The room felt both luxurious and welcoming. What truly elevated our experience, however, was the friendly and professional staff. Every single team member we interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed dedicated to making our stay exceptional. They handled every request promptly and with a smile, making us feel incredibly valued. We can't wait to return!

“Peaceful with a stunning view of the lake”

Peaceful place to relax away from the city. The accommodation has an amazing view of the lake. There is a resident kingfisher which visited daily & we also saw some monkeys in the trees & small squirrels running about. The boat trip around the lake for sunset is a must as you get to witness all the fruitbats take flight for the night from their trees. We booked our room option with breakfast included - you are required to order the evening before & give the time you want to eat. Staff are very helpful & always on hand if you need anything. The owner Malki, was also friendly & helpful, he also took us into Mirissa in his Tuk Tuk which is cheaper than the tourist Tuk Tuk’s  charge. Uber & Pick Me Are also available for less than the local Tuk Tuk, although you do need to let them know to avoid the narrow route to the villa. It's about a 10min ride to Mirissa, or you can walk in, which can take up to 40mins depending on your pace.

Removed from the hassle bussel of Marissa, a beautiful location looking onto the lake. Very friendly and accommodating staff providing good food and a clean environment to arranging quick transportation. Always ready to make a plan for you. Rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. Pool is a gem. Definitely a place to return to

“A short stay in Paradise!”

Food here is excellent and the presentation is exceptional.Very serene place to enjoy nature and its marvels.Will keep visiting again and again.The friendly and caring Staff stands out in this place and needs a big Thank you🙏

“Amazing view, lovely rooms.”

The view over the lake ftom the room and the pool. One of the best i have ever seen! (My photos cant really do it justice as the view deserves..) At sunset you can see fron there thousands of fruit bats flying out over the lake to go out to hunt elsewhere, impressive and amazing to see. Very new place, everything looked clean and with a nice mix between modern and traditional. Huge rooms. Huge … huge … bathroom! Nice beds. Friendly and helpfull staff. Great cook. Fresh pool. Calm and serene place. Lots of beautifull flowers and fruit trees in the garden. Good airco and muskito net. They also offer kayak rent and spa options like massages. I did a nice short kayak trip over the lake. I liked the massage i had from a friendly lady. Free parking.

beautiful location but further from the beach than expected. There was some ambiguity about whether breakfast was included or not - it wasn't clear enough on the site and the staff were unsure. So we missed out on the first day.

“Peaceful luxury in a tranquil environment.”

The Villa offers luxurious facilities in a very tranquil setting. Ideal place to get away from the hustle bustle of the city. Highly recommended for couple looking to spend quality time together. Planning to visit again in October.

We spent 5 unforgettable days. The Atulya Villas Lake View are even more beautiful than in the photos. Great airy architecture and the location is breathtaking. Surrounded by greenery with the most beautiful sunsets. From the great pool you could watch birds, monkeys, flying foxes, monitor lizards and chipmunks. The rooms and bathrooms are large and also offer a beautiful view. Chef Kavinda's food was a big highlight every morning and evening. Everything was very fresh and varied and tasted amazing to us all. The staff with Upatissa, Ruwan and Sampath, Amarasena are extremely friendly and welcoming and we, especially also our son, have made friends here. Upatissa has also a big knowledge about the nature and the area. We will be back.

We booked this accommodation at very short notice. We were delighted with the choice. One of the best we’ve made in a month in Lanka. We had a lot of fun. The first impression of the view over the lake was stunning. An evening boat trip was a bonus and great antidote to a day in busy Colombo. The comfortable rooms are tastefully decorated, the pool and garden are tranquil and well kept. A lot of care has been taken to make guests welcome. It’s very good value. The food was wonderful and the service friendly and efficient -everything was excellent.
