“Beautiful central well presented historic house in Mirepoix”
The location is brilliant between some of the best food shops in Mirepoix and 3 mins walk from the main square. The welcome with a few beers in the fridge but particularly the home made pork terrine and delicious fig jam were so lovely

“Highly recommend. Very nice place to stay.”
The host was gracious, welcoming and even provided some homemade apple jelly and local tapenade for us to try. It was clean and provided all the comforts of home to cook our own meals. The location is unbeatable, in the heart of town, with the butcher, boulangerie, cheese shop and restaurants practically next door. Even nicer is that the open market is right around the corner.

“A lovely place to stay.”
We found the house easily and managed to get a limited time parking space right outside (we then got a no restriction parking space shortly afterwards.) The property owner Christian met us at the house, showed us round and gave us a little welcome bag containing homemade pate, jams and some teas and coffee as well as a couple of bottles of beer. Such a lovely gesture. The house is on three floors and has three bedrooms as well as a nice kitchen, cosy lounge and an outside terrace. It is all nicely furnished and decorated. It is only a few minutes walk to the centre of the Old Town which is like something out of a fairy tale, with medieval, multi coloured wooden houses standing on pillars that leave archways below for shops, restaurants etc. The street where the house is located is also nice and has a supermarket, boulangerie, fromagerie and a Chinese restaurant, which is very good. On arrival we found parking ok, but be aware the blue marked bays are for limited time, while white marked bays are for as long as you like (unless otherwise marked). If you have difficulty finding a parking space on the road, there is a spacious and very good free parking area by the Logis Hotel le Minotier, which is an easy 5-10 minute walk to Le Lion d’Or. We spent three days here and found the house to be very comfortable, and it makes an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area. We will certainly come back.

“We loved it. Mirepoix is fabulous and this house is in the perfect location to enjoy it.”
Restored old town house on three floors. Characterful with plenty of space for two and well-equipped for self catering, which is perfect for us. Perfect location just 100m from Mirepoix’s fabulous market square with its shops, bars, restaurants, cathedral and busy Monday market. But also quiet and with everything you need almost literally on the doorstep (baker, butcher, grocer, fishmonger, pharmacy and mini supermarket all within a minute’s walk). Next door to an excellent fromagerie!

A beautiful place with lots of character, renovated with taste. Very friendly welcome by Christian, after communicating our arrival time en route. The home-made pate was wonderful. The location is perfect, round the corner from the central square with lots of restaurants, shops, tourist bureau and markets on Mondays. A boulangerie a few meters away and supermarket across the road. Bed was comfortable, there was a washing machine, outdoor area with big parasol, that also kept the heat out of the house during the day.
