“A really beautiful spot to spend a few days while seeing the wildlife and other attractions in the area”

My positive review comes to some degree from the fact I had the place totally to myself for 3 of my 4 nights there so I really enjoyed the absolute peace and quiet after being in noisy city environments. The facilities were also very good and the staff lovely

We stayed for 1 night and it was the best experience for our first time staying in Mindo! The hotel staff were very accommodating and went above and beyond. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were very clean and spacious. We had told them the trip was to celebrate our father turning 88 and when we had arrived for breakfast the next morning, they had arranged balloons and flowers all on our table, it was truly thoughtful of them. The hotel hospitality was truly one that we won't forget. We will definitely be back and to stay for more days! Highly recommend!

“Beautiful Jungle Oasis with Delicious Breakfast Awaits You!”

Beautiful little oasis in Mindo. Quiet location but still walking distance into town. The breakfast was outstanding, fresh and delicious with peaceful green views and birds. We had a massage which was a bit pricey, but good quality. We brought our dog and the property was very kind and accommodating for her. We would definitely stay again and use the pool which looked refreshing but we didn’t make time to use it!

The location is beautiful, the room is spacious and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good.

“Apartment exceeded expectations, very nice stay.”

The apartment was amazing with an incredible view overlooking the forest. The hotel was located very close to the main section of town - we chose to mostly walk, however taxis were available if needed. The food was very nice, both breakfast and dinner. The host and staff at the hotel were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely stay again. - Luke and Mary

Friendly staff, nice breakfast, we had a room in the far corner which was nice and quiet.

I think the cleaning should improve. We found dead animals in the wall corners, spider webs and the curtains were dusty.

Beautiful and peaceful location, lovely room and wonderful staff. The food was delicious too. We went out bird watching early one morning and the staff were kind enough to hold breakfast for when we got back way beyond end of the breakfast hours. We didn’t ask for this, it was just done for us which was extremely appreciated after an early morning in the forest. I would recommend staying here wholeheartedly and will hopefully be staying again.

Breakfast was excellent, as well as dinner. The staff was courteous and very nice. The room was facing the water and had two huge windows facing the gorgeous natural landscape.

The bungalow was overlooking cloud forest and sitting outside watching the wildlife was lovely and restful. The upstairs terrace for breakfast is a fantastic setting for bird watching and the breakfast was excellent.

Lovely breakfasts overlooking the gardens, with many wild birds. Dinners were also good, with a range of excellent cocktails. Excellent staff, very helpful with tours and taxis. Rooms were quite basic but clean and comfortable.

“Lovely stay in a quiet natural environment”

It is always annoying to be wrongly directed by Google maps. We were the other side of a field away. Not too far but easily corrected by the hotel to move their pinned placement slightly. Or send a brief instruction prior to arrival "head up the road to Mariposas de Mindo, the very good Butterfly Garden and Mindo Cano-py Ziplines, our sign Hosteria Coffee Lodge will be on the left". The entrance was also signed Crystal Glamping, a new venture? While the buildings themselves, the pool, the presentation of breakfast, all live up to the aspiration of a top hotel its little things like directions, or effective WiFi that are slight failings. Apart from that our room, a bungalow, was large, super king bed, immaculately clean with a nice patio area and cloud forest view. Breakfast was fruit plate, breads, eggs cooked to choice, fried plantain with cheese, fruit juice and tea or coffee all well presented. Dinner was available, significantly more expensive than local restaurants, and the open sided restaurant perhaps not the most conducive to eating on cold evenings. Not an issue as we had a car to visit local restaurants but otherwise a cheap taxi ride or a 20 minute walk along a gravel road. The small pool was surprisingly warm and fun for a quick dip after a day's sightseeing.

We were impressed with the room. The bed was very comfortable and we appreciated the little refrigerator for the drinks we purchased.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and served a really nice breakfast. The room, our own terrace, but also the hotel garden were all beautiful. The bathroom was very big and clean and had a nice jacuzzi. We will come back here for sure.
