The location was good. We were leaving early in the morning to catch the ferry and we got take away breakfast. The bed was big and comfortable with AC.

Everything was great. Location is excellent, the food at the bar downstairs is awesome ( including breakfast). Very good option for solo travellers, everything you need is in a walking distance. I will be back for sure.

Location is fantastic, right in the centre and overlooking the main square. Particularly interesting during carnival. Of course it was a bit loud, but it is part of the fun. Facilities quite basic, but good enough. Security seems good. Staff was nice, even if they looked a bit overworked at times.

Amazing location and staff (Aurisia was very nice and helpful the full time), big breakfast, great restaurant and concerts.

“Nice hotel with a great location”

Great location at the very heart of the town, a nice room with cute decorations, and a nice roof terrace. The breakfast in the cafe was also great, and the staff was also friendly.

Central location, comfortable room with air-conditioning. Very helpful, friendly owner and staff member who went above and beyond whilst my husband was sick.

“Good value for a first night in Mindelo.”

Great for a first night in Mindelo, close to the airport and central for town. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was excellent and served very efficiently. The music was good in the evening. The room was a bit small as the bed was large and there wasn’t much room to manoeuvre without stubbing toes or shins. The bathroom had seen better days.

Great hotel, ideally located, walking distance from all the great sites of the city and the ferry if you take any trips. We loved the place, staff was helpful, friendly and breakfast was delicious !

Bright airy room above the bar/ restaurant. Music playing in the bar but only until 10pm. Breakfast was good. We booked a second night as the location and atmosphere was perfect. Walking distance to the ferry port and other restaurants.

The Hostel is well positioned in the city center just in front of the main road maybe too close. The woman of the reception was nice and book us a taxi for the airport.

“Perfect location for female solo travellers!”

I had a great stay at Casa Café Mindelo and would totally book it again for a next visit to the island. The location is amazing, in walking distance to the markets, museums and the ferry. There’s a supermarket just across the street. As a female solo traveller I felt absolutely safe here. The staff was super friendly and helpful and I enjoyed the breakfast and also dinner in the restaurant (vegetarian options are available!) Yes, it’s not the quietest location, but I stayed here on a Monday night and the music and sounds from the street didn’t bother me at all.
