“Paradise in the mountains”

What a beautiful location to switch off and enjoy the surroundings. The room was great and the jacuzzi on the patio was perfect. We had a family of birds in the tree in front of our room which were fascinating. Room basic but clean and tidy and the food was delicious. Our biggest compliment goes to Carmella and her family . They are so warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, from organising our transport to the hotel and back and a Cocoa tour. The family really makes this hotel amazing.

Amazing place to stay - completely idyllic location. If you choose to stay in a dome it is definitely worth the extra cost - particularly the private outdoor decking area with the jacuzzi and the hammock looking out over the jungle. Spectacular views and lots of wildlife nearby. Lots of good walks to waterfalls and viewpoints. The food is home-cooked and delicious with plenty of options. The hosts are really friendly and make you feel at home. My favourite stay from my trip to Colombia!

Stunning location and view from the room. Balcony has view overlooking the mountains. In the middle of nature with the sound of exotic birds. Fresh air and perfect for hiking to the waterfalls. Peaceful retreat. Thrilling ride by moto taxi (motorbike) to get there - not for feint hearted. Family run and friendly staff who go out of their way to help. Highly recommended experience.

“Adventure to paradise!”

The most amazing relaxing spot up in the hills, surrounded by trees and birds, the view was unbelievable. We had a lovely breakfast sat on the terrace in the sunshine and delicious dinner served in the restaurant or in the room - our choice. There was a small crack in one of the domes panels which as soon as we raised the staff came and did a fix. They also did a fabulous job of cleaning the room (which we didn’t expect on Xmas day and had left bags and clothes everywhere). A perfect relaxing stay with great hosts.

The location of the property is amazing. The room was very nice with a beautiful Mountain View. The bed was comfortable, the jacuzzi was really nice and the bathroom spacious. The owner/ employees were very nice.

The way the staff handled the situation of broken glass. there was no customer service and felt scared for life with the boisterous attitude of the other staff.

This gem is a must hidden in the mountains around Minca. The rooms are huge with the hot tub on the balcony allowing you to watch the jungle as you relax. And breathtaking views from every angle. As this is so far away from town it really feels like you are experience the true wildlife. The owner made this stay that extra bit special, the communication was the best I have had at any stay, with assistance with booking transport, to arranging our evening meals. It is a small hotel with just a few rooms so you are really getting that extra personal touch. The breakfast and evening meals were amazing. Please do not hesitate to stay here.

The dome we stayed in with our private jacuzzi was lovely, lovely terrace overlooking the mountains, I booked it for me and my partners anniversary. Good food, the staff are friendly and went above and beyond to cater for all my extra requests. Muchos gracias!

“Gorgeous Romantic Stay”

We stayed for two nights in the deluxe double room with balcony. It had an incredible view with many bird sightings. Our favorite part was laying on the hammock before sunrise to soak in the environment. The staff were extremely helpful and communicative. The room was clean, but it did not get cleaned the second day. The food was good - we had dinner there one night and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

Amazing place to stay! We were on a multi day hike around Minca when arriving here for our last night before returning to the town centre. This was absolute luxury at a really great price. The staff made us feel really welcome, the room with a hot tub overlooking the valley was amazing and the food was fantastic.

I loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I was suffering a little from gastrointestinal problems when I arrived and the wonderful cook prepared soups and foods I could eat and enjoy. The hot tub helped me feel better too. I was in Colombia to see the birds and I loved sitting in the yard eating my breakfast as the sun came up and watching the many species of tropical birds who visited every morning. I saw about 40 species during breakfast alone. A day hike back down the mountain was special. Hiking down a mountain can be more stressful to muscles than uphill and this hike was not easy but I am a fit 76 and just took my time. The host set my Google map program to take me through varied and wonderful trails with lots of birds. The trail took me back to Minca and a wonderful waterfall/swimming park where I soaked my poor legs that had suffered from a nasty attack by sand flies I had not prepared for. (Must have bug repelant for that hike but I had no bug problems around the host property.) I took a mototaxi back up which is not for the faint of heart. It was fun though. I highly recommend this place for nature lovers/birders.

Excellent setting and walking in the area. Breakfasts are delicious.

The staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. Although they do not speak a word of English, we managed to get the communication going thanks to Google translate.
