This place is so special. The view from the rooms and various lookout points is so beautiful. It’s the perfect place to relax for a few days. The room was large and very comfortable with hammocks on the balcony. The cooking for lunch and dinner was so delicious, with fresh / healthy ingredients, huge portions at a very reasonable price (~40k per person). There is free coffee available all day. There is so much wildlife around the property to spot - including many hummingbirds. The property is 4km above the centre of Minca (~25 min drive) - you can organise a moto / 4 x 4 to collect you easily (costing 20k per journey but it does feel far so this felt like a fair price). This drive up is worth it for the views and the tranquility of being in the middle of the jungle.

Sintropia was in a stunning mountain jungle location. We enjoyed seeing all the birds and meeting Sylvester the toucan. It was quiet and peaceful. Mari and Luis were very friendly and helpful.

“Wishing our stay here never ended”

We left Sintropia feeling extremely relaxed - and we really hope we’ll be able to visit again in the future. This is one of the best places we’ve stayed at. It is located in a gorgeous and secluded location, high up in the mountaintops. While the trek up might be slightly tiring on a hot day (there are 4x4 jeep and mototaxi available too), you are rewarded with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains and ocean. It made us appreciate the beauty of nature even more and the sunsets are 10/10. Everything you needed is there - the food, coffee and juices are delicious and healthy, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. There is no expectations to sell you anything, you’re just there to relax. It’s probably the best place to stay in Minca and we’d highly recommend to anyone who is looking to recharge and reconnect with life.

The view is exceptional, the rooms are large, the food is delicious, the birds are delightful and the gardens and paths are lovely. We stayed in the main house but the 3 cabins are so romantic. The lodge had 12 guests while we were there. We are together so we became fast friends. One night we had a campfire and shared stories of our travel adventures.

We loved absolutely everything - we stayed here for my birthday and it was such a special place to be. The surroundings are beautiful and it is such a peaceful place to spend a few nights. We were there for two but I wish we had an extra night. The team are so welcoming and friendly - highly recommend going out with Luis on the waterfall hike. The food is delicious, healthy and fresh. By far some of the best local food we ate in Colombia. Sylvester the toucan and the two parakeets are the cherry on top! Hope to return one day. A very memorable stay.

The view is stunning and we loved watching the sunset from the balcony and the sunset platform. The staff is super friendly and help you out with anything you need. The room was spacious, and the bed is big and comfortable. One of the highlights was their own coffee: super delicious and free :) We would definitely come back.

“Most amazing stay in Minca”

I had the most amazing stay at Minca Sintropia. This was actually my most memorable stay in Colombia. The Sintropia is located high up in minc. The views and the cool weather was wonderful. Excellent food, super clean room, wonderful staff, free fresh drinking water from the mountains and great staff. The highlight for me was Silvester the toucan, the 2 parrots, the delicious food and the wonderful staff. I must add - the bed was super comfortable, the wifi was excellent and the location was superb.

this is a really beautiful, biodiverse and peaceful place to stay. We ate fresh fruits from the Finca, and their organic coffee was excellent. The staff are wonderful people and made my stay lovely :) the hike to the waterfall and the sunset are a highlight!

A great team of people taking care of us as guests. The accommodation, especially the location, was super amazing. The team was absolutely special. And the food was also very good, but the options were (somewhat) limited too chicken, fish and vegetarian. Location was reachable via 4x4 and the accommodation will give some contact details for a driver. Last part is nicely trough the forrest, while the team was taking care of our luggage. Best stay in Colombia yet, for sure.

“A true little paradise perched in the hills of Minca!”

A true little paradise perched in the hills of Minca, surrounded by nature, with beautiful trees and wildlife. From our balcony, we were even lucky enough to be visited in the morning by Silvestre, the toucan! Luis took great pleasure in sharing the fascinating story of the finca and introducing us to the different species of trees. The cabin was very comfortable, with breathtaking views. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Getting to Sintropia is a bit of a journey (everything is very well explained beforehand), but once you’re up there you won’t want to come back down – and that’s the beauty of it! Muchas gracias Luis and Marilyn, we truly hope to return one day.

Amazing views, nicely decorated rooms, super friendly staff and great pets 😊. We walked down to Finca Candelaria for a cacao tour and then down to Minca town. Absolutely do-able and a must do even. Did take a taxi up again 😄
