Celtis Country Lodge & Restaurant is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Middelburg, where guests can makes the most of its outdoor swimming pool, garden and terrace. We stayed at Celtis Country Lodge & Restaurant on 10 June while travelling to the Western Cape, and our overall experience was excellent. The lodge is very neat, the rooms are clean and well maintained, and the staff provided friendly and professional service throughout our stay. Having a restaurant on the premises makes the experience especially convenient. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast there, and both meals were fantastic. We stayed in Room 12. The only negative aspect of our stay was the king-size bed. Unfortunately, the mattress on the right-hand side felt worn and sagged, which made it less comfortable to sleep on and affected our overall sleeping experience. We have stayed at Celtis before in a different room and slept very comfortably, so we believe this may be specific to this particular mattress. Apart from that, everything was excellent. Had it not been for the bed, we would gladly have given a 10/10 rating. For this reason, we are giving it a 9/10. In our opinion, this is definitely the best place to stay in Middelburg. We will certainly stay here again in the future and simply hope that some attention can be given to the mattress in Room 12. Thank you for the excellent service and hospitality.

“Reliable safe and welcoming stop over ..”
The breakfast has a nice varied choice of hot meals and good bottomless coffee , plus we like the fact that one can park your car securely and have a nice meal on site in the evening , and they have a large pool if you wish to swim. We have stayed here several times, the management and staff are always very welcoming and the service from all is excellent. A great stop over whilst travelling.

“Good hotel for Middelburg”
The property had good security, staff were very friendly, grounds were lovely. Our room was clean, of a good size with air-conditioning and a fridge, which helped a lot. Bed was comfortable. Had a nice outside area were we could sit. We had room 1. Our friends stayed in another room and they didn't have as nice a room.
