We stayed in the two bedroom give with our two young children and it was perfect. The rooms are lovely and the outside area is fantastic. The shared swimming pool is immaculate and the lounge seats around it are incredibly comfy and feel brand new. Tress and Patrick are brilliant hosts. You honestly couldn’t ask for more. Great place to stay and we’ll be back.

Everything you’d ever need, in a peaceful little village and close to Bellac with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants. The gite was spacious, beautifully decorated and had an outside area. The pool was brilliant too. The hosts are exceptional and very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

We loved everything. The gite was perfect for our family of 4 for 4 nights. It had everything you needed - and more. (The popcorn machine was a real hit with our 7 year old girls.) Beautifully decorated, loved the outdoor seating area. The pool was amazing - recently changed to salt water which was fab. Lots of age appropriate pool toys for the children to play with. We drive down to the dordogne/Lot every summer and always stop off somewhere for a few nights, I can honestly say this was the best place we’ve stayed in. Tress and Patrick are the loveliest and warmest hosts, very thoughtful and nothing is too much trouble. Immediate area is quiet (although there is a little shop and bakery) but Bellac is 10 mins away which has everything you’d need and Confolens 25 mins away, it’s on the Vienne where we went canoeing…lots of restaurants and cafes etc. We hope to be back!

Very thoughtful touches in the gite - everywhere was beautiful, the pool was fantastic and the outdoor areas were perfect for eating in the sunshine. The whole place was just beautiful.

It was a beautiful gite with everything you needed and the beds were heavenly. Tress and Patrick were also perfect hosts and very social without being intrusive. The pool area also fabulous and we look forward to returning soon

Beautifully appointed gite with exceptional attention to detail. A delightful mix of tasteful antiques and modern conveniences. But la piece de resistance is the friendliness and warmth of the owners Tress and Paddy who make you feel right at home!

Beautiful set up in a pretty quiet village that has a good mini supermarket and boulangerie. There is also a cafe. We stayed in the larger gite but we were shown the 3 rooms in the main house and smaller gite and all re to the same very high standard. The furniture, beds, linen etc all lovely! The outdoor space includes separate areas to sit- our private area and also other space in the courtyard gardens. The pool had just been re lined and was a perfect temperature with great sunbeds and inflatables. There was also a table tennis table nearby.

Totally charming property - owners have a fantastic eye for interiors, idiosyncratic touches and making a place feel Uber welcoming Swimming pool area was a real bonus on a very hot day Tress and Patrick are fantastic hosts and check if you are happy with your accommodation and is there anything else you need to make your stay complete Can’t say enough good things about Maison Hirondelles- exceeded all our expectations. We’d prefer to keep this in our little black book but it it too good not to share

Our whole experience of our stay with Tress and Patrick was delightful. Nothing was two much trouble and they could not have been more helpful. We would certainly recommend Maison Hirondelles and will certainly be returning.
