Great restaurant for meal of the day downstairs. Parking out front accommodation clean and staff lovely people.

We've known Hotel de la Place over many years and it's a lovely spot in a lovely village/town. Francis and Melanie are wonderful hosts and will do everything they can to help make your stay a really good one. With advance notice they will prepare an evening meal for you and it's good quality home cooking and very tasty. The terrace and indoor areas are fine for socialising over a pichet of wine or a beer. The rooms are adequate if rather rustic and the bathroom and shower were clean. Our room was pleasantly quiet as well as we had requested. Additional soap, shampoo etc would be good beyond the 2 little sachets provided.

Breakfast very good, evening meal good value and tasty home cooking. Hosts Francis and Melanie were excellent, always there to help, a lovely couple, as were their two children. In a beautiful unspoilt part of France.

The hotel was great, clean, quite. Everyone was friendly and it felt like to be at home. I would definitely come back as it was super!

Our apartament for 4 was very clean and spacy; although it did not have AC it was provided with 2 fans. The owners are very friendly, speaking french and english. They cook excellent meals. In the close proximity there is a small shop, bakery and a very good restaurant. Parking on the street in front of the hotel.

“A good base for exploring the Verdon Gorge and surrounding area.”

Quite close to Sainte-Croix Lake and Verdon Gorge (by car) — we stayed overnight between two days of exploring the area. The hotel is really cozy, and the room was nice, spacious, and clean. We also had a tasty dinner (despite the late hour — thank you for that!). The owners seem like very nice and friendly people. And yes, great value for the price.

It was a very lovely boutique hotel with a friendly family running it. Would absolutely stay again everything was fantastic, from check in to breakfast it was great.

Friendly owner and reasonable priced dinner. Dinner was great to have at hotel as village was very small, so we would have had challenges to find alternatives.
