We didn’t actually end up staying at this guesthouse as we were told upon contacting the property prior to our arrival that they were unable to accommodate us due to technical reasons. Only the grandmother was at the home and no other family members were in mestia. We were offered a stay at the svaneti hotel in the alternative with for no extra charge which was great. We slept well and the room and bathroom were clean.

“SCAM, don t go there!!”
Don t go there!! The host cancelled the reservation two hours before my arrival with a rather stupid excuse. In theory, he offered us another place belonging to a friend/fellow countryman of his, who was supposed to provide the same service for the price we were meant to pay. In reality, I ended up sleeping for three nights in a paper-thin hotel where you could hear everything, it smelled bad, and the walls were full of stains. I got scabies because the sheets even had blood stains on them And they smelled used. I called and wrote to Booking, and they never helped me. If it had been up to them, I would have ended up sleeping on the streets in Mestia at –6 degrees. The other hotel is called Hotel Mestia, so don’t go there either.

“Good, great central location, for the price satisfactory.”
Because the pension was closed I was placed with other hosts in Svaneti hotel for the same price. It has hot shower in the room so I can guess it was an upgrade. The room was heated through electric heating system - good for sleeping not so much for long stay in the room. You could have a bufet breakfast for 25 GEL.

“The guest house was not available but they put me into the bigger hotel which is even better!”
I like the clean room, ideal location right in the heart of Mestia few steps to the shops and cafes/restaurant. Staff who welcome me was so kind and amazing.

“Central location, good value for money”
We stayed at this guest house twice: before and after our hike. The owner lady is extremely nice, there was a kettle and tea for common use. The first time we stayed in a double room, it was comfortable and spacious. The second time we could only book a twin room, which was very small, but it still worked out. The location is perfect-right next to Spar supermarket, cafes and marshrutkas station.
