Very welcoming guys. Location is nearest to big dunes among nearby camps. Super comfortable with gas heater, hot water, many blankets and hotty. We like at evening and swing. Also Mustapha found for us shared transfer to Fes with excellent driver, it was fine. Thanks! Full transfer is 15 euro per person, camel riding is 25, a bit more expensive then usual 20.

Everything was just awesome. We stayed two nights and loved the whole experience. Owners are very friendly and will give you space to experience the desert yourself. They are very helpful to explain everything you are asking. Location is very good. Close to big dunes. Dinner and overall atmosphere was also perfect.

Would Give 20 Stars If I Could— Beautiful, Private-Feeling Luxury Stay

Gorgeous hidden gem of a Berber desert camp in a breathtakingly beautiful location at the foot of tall dunes; recently renovated and looks just like the pictures. I did not expect it to be as luxurious and comfortable as it was, and still can’t get over the inexpensive price tag compared to others in this class. The bathroom is spacious, comfortable, and functional— has a big shower with proper drainage, piping hot water that NEVER ends (they have their own well that is so pure you can drink from it, and heat the water by fire) and good solid water pressure. The beds are huge and comfy, and the details all around, like soft lighting with beautiful lamps, are simple and tasteful. The camp is isolated a bit, so you cannot see or hear others— key for me. The vibe is peaceful and relaxed, and the Berber staff are so gracious, hospitable and relaxed, they cannot do enough for you. I was greated by the happiest, nicest man I've ever met— he made the experience amazing. My luggage was transported via car, and I rode a camel to the camp (highly recommended). The camels were well cared for and so gentle, the route through the desert spectacular, and my camel driver took awesome sunset pictures and let me hang out with my camel (which I fell in love with) long after the ride should have been over. You are right at the dunes so can climb and explore them easily, and they have free sandboards (also recommended). At night they make a fire where everyone naturally congregates to hang out and drum; I loved how organic it felt. Some of the other camps I inquired about felt too touristy for me— trying very hard with a circus show every night that is long and loud. Here, they set it up so it really is a perfect balance— you can participate or go off to star gaze, soak up the silence, or sleep without being disturbed. Really very well done and consequently they create a wonderful air of exclusivity, privacy, and low key, relaxed entertainment. I easily could have stayed longer.

Amazing host and stay

Shooting Stars Camp is closest to the dunes, while the others are mainly on the periphery. You get to the big dunes within minutes of walking. It's surreal! But that's not the only reason to choose to stay with them! The main host Mustapha along with his team - waiter Hassan, chef Hassan, caretaker Aziz and others that I couldn't get the names of, made our stay incredible by showing us the amazing hospitality of Berber desert culture! The rooms/tents are comfortable and huge with en-suite bathrooms. The food was one of the best we've eaten on our trip to Morocco. They very happily catered to our vegetarian meal requirements. Their Berber musical performance was with so much passion and a lovely treat around the campfire. Kudos to the entire crew for taking so much effort on a daily basis to look after their guests. We totally recommend staying with them and add Erg Chebbi to your travel plan if it's not already in there! Thanks again to Mustapha and wishing all the very best to the team!

Fabulous camp

Great camp, one of few options in the desert where you have an en-suite bathroom. All the guys from the staff were fantastic, very outgoing, everyone speaks English fluently, their night performance by the camp fire was fabulous, and we loved the way they kept the conversation going after the performance was over. (Moustafa, you are a real star!) The tents are very good and comfortable, there was a heater that kept us warm (we were staying in winter and it was cold at night), also the staff guys gave us hot water bottles - very cute and the bottles really work during cold nights. Very comfy beds. The camp can organize different activities in the desert like camel rides, 4x4 rides, dinner etc. Also they provide transfers to the camp and back.

Unforgettable experience

The camp is located further into the dunes which is the reason why I booked it. The tents are clean and comfortable. They have tasty food. Highly recommended for a longer stays too
