“A hospitable haven.”

Maria and her family are the sweetest and most hospitable people we have stayed with, they truly cannot do enough for you. The location is incredibly beautiful and a nature lovers paradise. We chose to have breakfast from them most mornings and it was delicious and incredibly generous portions. They also have the loveliest doggies who came to greet us every morning and night. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Unreal location right on the lake surrounded by gardens & critters - got great pics of jays, squirrels, iguana's all from my hammock! Such a beautiful & peaceful location. And incredible sunsets! And very non-touristy area which was a huge plus for me. Yet also very near restaurants & a good grocery store, plus there's one decent restaurant right beside the property. The cabins are a bit rustic, but they're comfortable & had everything I needed. Rosa's family are ALL lovely. Everyone I had interactions with just wanted to make sure I had everything I needed and was happy here. Didn't want to leave the hammock on my patio on the last morning. I will definately be back to stay in this little haven again! 🤗

“Chill and delicious food”

You have your own place with toilet in front of the beach with delicious and affordable homemade food. Make sure to try the fish. And plus… you get mangos for free straight from the tree:)

Very beautifull and chill spot right at the lake. You live very close to the family but you'll have enough privacy. The beautiful garden is full of coconut and mango trees and ripe mango's lay on the ground everywhere. I was allowed to eat them because there are lots and lots of them. The family has a pig, many chickens, ducks, geese and a couple of very sweet and calm dogs. Except for the pig they are all walking free in the garden. It is such a sweet family and they will make you feel at home. Maria is a really great cook and she has prepared many meals for me. Her prices are pretty much the same as in the nearby restaurant. I booked for just one night but I enjoyed staying here so much that I stayed for ten days more. The rooms are basic but clean and the beds (and hammocks!) are very comfortable.

The hosts are super nice and helpful. The location is amazing, especially when you seek a place to relax and enjoy the nature. The property is right by the lake and you can swim with the view of the volcano. I really enjoyed my stay.

We really loved our stay here. Maria and her family are absolutely lovely and go above and beyond to help you with anything you need. The rooms are basic but really comfortable, and the hammock is great as well. Breakfast is big and tasty, and the dinners are delicious. The dogs and pig are gorgeous as well.

I stayed in 5 different places in Ometepe all in different areas and this was by far the best value for money and beautiful location. What a gorgeous family ❤️ I kept extending for 10 days. I will be dreaming of my little lakeside cabin for the rest of my life 🙏

“A comfortable affordable stay to experience Ometepe and Lago Cocibolca from the local side.”

The facilities were comfortable especially for the price and the staff were friendly, though I didn't take them up on the offer for homemade food during my stay. By far the best part though is the proximity to the lake in a very locally oriented area.

Awesome and beautiful location. Perfect for relaxing. The rooms are simple and a bit dark but the outside area definetly makes up for it.

The property is very typical and authentic, Rosa, Maria and all the family is so so so nice !! We felt like we were in our family. They welcomed us so well !

Rosa and her family were definitely the best hosts we had on our trip in Nicaragua! They made us feel at home and welcome. The facilities are quite simple but comfortable and you can wake up and appreciate the lake views straight from the property. They also provide home made meals which are well priced, delicious and big! We also spent quite a few afternoons at Mangos beach and were able to get a moto back for just a few córdobas, just talk to the people at the bar!
