Overview
Castel Fragsburg enjoys panoramic mountain views from its verandas and decks. Immersed in the nature on the sunny mountainside, it offers a wellness centre and gourmet cuisine. This former hunting castle features a unique, luxurious atmosphere. It is one of the smallest, yet most exclusive hotels in the Alps. The property boasts a large garden with a heated outdoor pool and the Spa Castellum Natura wellness centre. Here guests can enjoy various treatments and massages,a sauna, a Turkish Bath, a panoramic lodge with a wooden bath tub and many other amenities. The gourmet restaurant serves traditional and Mediterranean cuisine featuring local produce. It overlooks the valley of Merano. Relais & Chateaux Hotel Castel Fragsburg is only 15 minutes by car from the centre of Merano. Bolzano and the A22 motorway are about 30 km away.

“Flawless service and a truly special atmosphere”
We absolutely loved our stay at Castel Fragsburg! The owner and his family are incredibly welcoming, and their deep love for the place is evident in every detail. The staff are amazing, attentive, and clearly love their jobs, making us feel completely spoiled from start to finish. They organized so much for us, and with tonnes to do right on the doorstep, it made for a perfect trip. We cannot wait to visit this beautiful place again!

“We have stayed in a very large number of five star hotels, and this is one of the very best.”
The hotel setting is an eyrie above Merano and has remarkable views. The hotel staff was unbelievably friendly and professional. Hotel management is to be commended for its choice of staff and for their training. It was a pleasure to stay here. We chose the half-board plan and the food and wine were excellent.

Fabulous breakfast with wonderful high quality products, and options to please everyone. And all from a scenic overlook of the valley below; if only we had wings. The welcome and attentiveness of staff was also amazing. Warm smiles give the day a great start.

Just an amazing place, quite exceptional in every respect. Our plan was to stay here and visit the surrounding area. We parked the car and never left the property until it was time to go home. Already booked to return.
