Near the city center. The room was comfortable and good value for money. The restaurant on the ground floor served delicious pizza.

We loved the views. Pizzas were good. Breakfast had a great variety of choice. Felt very clean and comfortable. Beds were ccomfortable. Right next to train station and shuttle bus was great. Able to store bikes safely.

Forthcoming and friendly staff. Very good breakfast indeed. Perhaps a suspiciously large selection of menu items ("Most of these must be industrial product from freezers, they can't possibly have a pantry large enough to hold everything they'd need to make them fresh ! " ) but the linguine with porcini, pizza Romana, and griddled squid were very good, wherever they came from. The hotel is across the street from Merano's second-line railway station, rather far from the town centre : Roundabouts and swings. Bus service into the centre, however, is good. Traffic on the neighbouring streets can be . . . heavy. Those sensitive to noise may want a room at the rear of the building.

Clean, quiet, spacious, the staff are very friendly and polite. Right near the station and the bus stop. We recommend the restaurant as well :)

The Italian restaurant did lovely food. The underground parking was secure for motorcycles.

Very friendly staff, great dinner incl. glutenfree pizza and pasta. Bus stop outside the door, easy and quick to get into Meran. Even a bus going to the Trautmannsdorf gardens stops there. Free public transport with the Südtirol guest card, didn't need the car at all.

I'm giving a 10 for excellent value for money for merano. Very clean room with comfy bed. Super nice, helpful staff. Easy parking. Very tasty breakfast included in price. Easy walk into town.

The hotel room was clean and spacious. The balcony is nice but the noise from the motorway too high. The parking lot in the garage is included in the price. The restaurant food is good with good level of choice. The staff is very helpful.

“Una fuga in montagna”

The Cavallino hotel is located in the Merano Bassa area, close to the train station Maia Bassa. It is at 1.5 km from the city centre. Nice walking to town. Alternatively you can take a bus, just outside the hotel. There are 5 parking spaces outside the hotel but you can park in the street in front of it. Our room was ok, large bathroom with shower. The windows are insulated, but if you open them, you can hear the car traffic. There is a restaurant in the hotel. Good food. Coffee served for breakfast was good. Staff was nice and kind

VERY impressed .. a 3 star hotel in fact worth more. also nice restaurant, very cooperative crew. and free parking close by. VERY OK, if back in Meran they are on MY list !
