Our stay at Rives de la Tronne was a great pleasure. A very warm welcome from our hosts. A beautiful, well-appointed room, fabulous gardens, and swimming pool. The room was very comfortable, with everything you could need. The breakfast was a treat and a superb start to the day. Local specialities were delicious. Perfect location for Chambord and Blois. We would happily stay here again.

Wonderful hosts, who everyday met us with a smile. Generous and elegant breakfast provided. The pool and garden area is divine. Rooms were large and super clean. Attentiveness to details in the decor and cleanliness.

The accommodation was perfect for us with our young baby. We had the Park suite which was spacious and comfortable and Walter and Valy had provided lots of baby equipment to make the stay even easier. The grounds are pretty and the pool would be perfect if it were to ever stop raining... breakfast was also a highlight with Valy putting on a wonderful spread. It's a great b&b run by a lovely and friendly couple and we would highly recommend the place.

Valy & Walter are wonderful hosts. The property is beautiful and a real place of tranquility. The gardens and pool are fantastic and the breakfasts superb. We couldn’t have wished for anything more. Additionally, the hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. I was travelling alone with young children, one of whom had a little accident. They helped no end in patching her up and making them happy, and the whole stay was a real delight. I can’t thank them enough.

the welcome we received from Valy and Walter was very warm. they are wonderful hosts. the orangerie was well appointed and warm and beautifully decorated. breakfast was delicious. we were impressed by the care and attention to detail shown by our hosts.

Everything! the attention to details was incredible. The room was spotless, with plenty of space to feel at ease. I didn’t remember that there was a pool so when we arrived it came as a surprise (a very good one). The garden is very nice The location is perfect if you want to visit the Chateaux de la Loire. Our hosts went above and beyond our expectations. They are the perfect hosts. The breakfasts were excellent as Valy makes sure to bake or cook something different every day. It is something you are not used to. Thanks again for the goat cheese that I enjoyed eating bac home. We have put les Rives de la Tronne on our list of places to go back to. Thanks again for your kindness we are looking forward to come back when possible

“Well located for all the grand chateaux, Valy and Walter are the ideal generous hosts.”

Valy and Walter are the most helpful and generous hosts you could hope to meet. Their house is comfortable and very laid back and the rooms are spacious, clean and charming. The garden is large, stocked with mature trees, and has a gazebo and swimming pool with the lovely old orangery converted into the poolhouse. The breakfasts we had were wonderful with lots of organic (bio) local produce and variety. Their attention to detail is exemplary. Valy's homemade jams are superb and she wrote out a recipe for their delicious waffles for me by hand, and Walter will patiently explained where they sourced their ingredients from and has all the local knowledge about restaurants and local venues to make your stay easy and a pleasure. Our stay could not have been better.
