“Our north coast day trip is quite exciting with the staying in Mendocino Hotel and Garden Inn”
A historical place located on beautiful coast. More than fifty movies and TV shows were made in this town, on this street, on the coast meadows. The hotel, with over hundred years of history, is truly a treasure. Its antique furniture and the historical photos and paintings take people back. It is sad that property has been decaying for some time and is not in good shape now. But renovation and restoration will begin later this year under new ownership. Something to look forward to.

This was a great old west hotel experience in a great little town in a great location. Just be aware that the bed is pretty creaky and wi-fi didn’t work, but still would totally recommend if you’re not fussy about that kind of thing.

“Place has been let go.Find somewhere else”
How do you advertise the location of the property and then have your accomodation 3 streets away. Check in was total disorganization 3 attempts to find right key and we had to drive back to the office each time Rooms were old and tired and dirty.

“Yuck!”
Fantastic location near all of the shops and restaurants. Parking was easy. Rooms looked cute and the from outside (We stayed in the separate buildings from the main building).

“Would never recommend, even in a pinch.”
Power outage forced me to stay a night in a local hotel. This was not a comfortable stay, but they did have power.

A beautiful old hotel which was full of character. All the fittings e.g. the plumbing worked just fine despite their vintage feel. The morning coffee provided in the reception area was good. The location was spectacular. Unfortunately the Restaurant had been closed for some time.

“Not worth it at all”
This is a historic building that is not being taken care of. The inside of the building smells so bad and stuffy, opening some windows and investing in an air purifier would help.
