Super great location, felt like a very social place to spend time, enjoyed the multiple common areas! The staff were all really lovely and so happy to help and answer questions. Rooftop was a great spot to hang out and the group chat seems like a great idea

Location was great can walk everywhere. The staff and his volunteers were all kind and very nice. Great social atmosphere with Tony organizing events very often like dinners etc. I was ill during our stay and he was really helpful on helping me get to the hospital and checking I was okay! I would totally recommend staying here to hang out with people.

The only real backpackers hostel in melaka. Perfect location close to all the attractions, howard is the most amazing host and does everything for you to have a good time. Very nice rooftop terrace where magic can happen. And everything is clean!

“Great for exploring Malacca”

The owner Howard was super kind and gave amazing recommendations. Staff member Ben was also very helpful and kind! The beds are pod style and pretty comfortable. Communal rooftop has a cool, artsy vibe. Location is perfect to explore malacca.

“Positive, friendly, open and accomodating”

Ringo foyer has a very relaxed, warm, open and friendly environment. All the volunteer staff and staying guests definitely add the charm. It was a sociable and wholesome environment to meet people from different parts of the world and share life stories. The library space and rooftop is a great offer. Will definitely come and stay when I come back to melaka!

The property is very well located their common space is cute and definitely made to favour interactions between people. Their rooftop offers a stunning views for sunset and right below the library is a dream. The staff, especially the owner is adorable and very helpful. It is a true backpacker hostel and I loved it!

The location of the accommodation is really great! The volunteers and the owner are also super friendly and will give you tips if you need them. The beds themselves are also very comfortable

Caretaker is friendly and helpful. Guests there are friendly. Reasonable price, strategic location and convenient.

For the price of the rooms I don't think you could find much better value around. We stayed in a private room (shared bathroom) which was clean enough and had good working AC. The bed was comfy, though I'd have liked another pillow or two. The staff/volunteers are communicative and there seems to be a lot of group activities planned via a WhatsApp group The location is great with all the major attractions within walking distance.

“Great hospitality and nice atmosphere”

This was a really kind and polite place where the staff made an effort to help you out. Location near the river walk and centre. Rooftop to hang out. Just a pleasant and social place. Also I just want to mention and appreciate that the owner returned me some extra money for some kind of issue I didn't even notice which was not expected at all and showed their generosity.

The hostel is located in a very central location. There is 3 different social areas where you can sit and relax. There are some activities every evening and you have access to a pool located a few minutes away by grab. The place has a nice social vibe and the owner is super friendly! I would definitely recommend this place if you are planning to visit Malacca!

The staff and volunteers were amazing and they planned lots of fun and social activities. They had a nice rooftop where you could relax, play cards or enjoy an evening beer.

“worst experience ever”

I had a terrible experience at this hostel. The place is not clean at all, and everything feels extremely old and worn out. The bathrooms were dirty, with no proper sink for washing my face, and there were no mirrors available for dressing up. The pillow covers were filthy, which was very unhygienic. To make things worse, the AC was turned off during the daytime for no apparent reason. I have stayed in many hostels before, but this was by far my worst experience. When I went to the rooftop, everything was so dirty that I felt like I might catch a skin infection. On top of that, I was sneezing all night, likely due to dust or poor air quality. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean and comfortable stay. Not worth a penny!

Backpackers vibe. Nice to meet people. Rooftop good at night. Very close to the center. Nice staff and very kind owner.

i was really happy to stay at ringos :) I was travelling alone and the Volunteers work make it super easy to engage with others through one activity everyday. Also the owner is super charismatic ! The dorm contains a lot of people but still you get the feeling of private space ! Hoping to come back soon !🌸
