“Great old place”

It is very near jonker street, 10 mins walk, just need to jaywalk across a busy road, all good after the first time. This is an old house which is refurbished to keep it's traditional looks, it is an interesting experience as well. There is also a very really good restaurants for breakfast/lunch/dinner/supper near by the place, all within 5min walking distance. It is excellent value for money consider the location and even the free breakfast from the host. There is a cat as well!

“Very Poor service”

The hotel was closed when I arrived. I called four times but no one answered. Finally answered the phone but didn't respond（pocket dial）and started saying some rude things with his staff. And still dont want to pick up when i call them again. They made me wait at their hostel for about 40 minutes. Two hours later, they jusy sent me a message asking me to cancel the reservation by myself, saying they had told the platform they don't accept last-minute reservations. But at least you just answer my phone then explain it, NOT JUST IGNORE US.

Collin's place is truly a gem in the old town of Malacca. It really feels like u step into a time machine back to the 80s or 90s. The hotel is more of a family-run business where their members and guests often hang out, so sometimes u will hear noises from people's discussion, but that wasnt an issue for me. Some people might complain that the location is a bit off, about 10-15 minutes walk to the center - Jonker street where all the popular stores and cafes are. However I wouldnt be able to find 2 amazing local restaurants if I didnt stay at Collin's. Please check out Hainanese Kopitiam and Majestic Noodles - which is literally 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. They have super affordable yet tasty menu, frequented by locals.

Colin is a nice man and welcomed us warmly. The guest room was spacious, stylish, clean, and comfortable.

Colin wasn't there for check-in but sent very detailed instructions on how to get in. The room was clean and very spacious. There was no stress during check-out. I liked the originality of the place and the homey feel to it. Although Tuesday was their off day, Colin's wife was there to prepare breakfast from 9am to 10am, which was simple but nicely cooked.

Room was very spacious, and bed was comfortable. Lady landlord was accommodating. Cat and saloon doors were cute.

Owner was very helpful. As I arrived late, he gave me all check-in instructions clearly. The place is a bit old but it's away from crowd and just 15mins walking to Jonker Street. There's a bank with ATM across the street and convenient if run out of cash. I didn't go for the breakfast so no comment. Room is clean and tidy. Wifi is excellent. There's a big dustbin on the hallway so no dustbin inside room is ok. Floor is a little squeaky (it's an old peranakan building)

“A place to make your malacca visit memorable!”

We stayed for 8 nights and just found the place to be so charming! Since we were staying 8 nights, Colin and his lovely wife whipped up a few different breakfast dishes to keep us on our twos. They were delicious! We loved the vibe of the place and the room had a lot of charm.

Very friendly owner. Even provided some local breakfast once. Room Laksa was very nice. Looked like you stayed in some museum. (in a positive way;) )

Very good location, Just a short walking distance from the old city and the main street -- Jonker Street. Collin was communicating well.

I love everything about this place: service, beauty of the old peranakan house, quietness, convenience. It takes only 15' by walk from the house to the center.
