This property features a Chateau and an 18th-century house located in Mazan, at the foot of the Mount Ventoux. I honestly don’t understand why this place has such a low rating. I was quite hesitant to book it because of the reviews and because I was afraid it would be overpriced, but that was absolutely not the case. Everything was exceptional. We booked a room with a garden view, and the young woman at the reception handled our request wonderfully. Even though it was only her second day on the job, she managed everything very professionally and gave us a ground-floor room, exactly as we had hoped for. We had a wonderful stay. The place is truly beautiful, the room was very clean, and the soundproofing was surprisingly good. Even though there were many guests staying there at the time, we didn’t hear any noise from the other rooms. The breakfast was good as well. It didn’t offer a huge variety of options, but there was definitely enough to choose from, both sweet and savory.

We enjoyed our staying in this beautiful chateau, which belonged to Marquis de Sade and as a welcome gift, we received a double upgrade for the room. Parking on site is a big plus. Staff were super helpful and polite when asking for options to eat or directions to a supermarket( easy to get there by walking). Beds were comfortable and room size was great. We enjoyed the view from our room ( he stayed in a junior suite).

“Beautifully renovated authentic city palace in charming little village”
We had a beautiful stay with our family at the boutique hotel of chateau de Mazan. This beautiful Provençal old mansion, which once belonged to the de Sade heir, has been authentically renovated to a luxurious hotel, which still breaths the old spirit but with modern comfort and lots of good taste. The rooms are spacious and fresh through the airco (even at 34 degrees Celsius outside), and well isolated from noise. I would recommend booking a room in the main building. The surrounding terrace, garden and pool are also beautiful and calm. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Very good breakfast with homemade pastries and local ingredients. Also the restaurant in the evening is delicious, in a romantic setting on the terrace with a view on the garden and the illuminated castle. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Do not expect a five star hotel but an authentic boutique hotel in a familial atmosphere. You can book a parking spot on the private parking next to the hotel, which is recommended. The parking space is not accessible for very low cars.

Really beautifully renovated Chateau with a charming garden. We had a family suite with a lot of space and the interior decor was really nice. Food was also very good and staff friendly.

This beautiful Chateau has everything what you need. In the heart of small town in Provence. The pool is spectacular, specially when you would like to rest when is very hot. Super comfy bed.
