Loved staying here - it felt so cosy and comfortable! There’s a big common space with rocking chairs, books and blankets. The staff were so friendly and helpful with recommendations.

I honestly love everything. The whole interior and vibe of the place is so cute and cozy. I love the little shared space and kitchen, the beds are quite spacious (but quite hard, as they are futons). The staff was so kind and we had good conversations with them.

This was the best hostel where I stayed in Japan so far. Very friendly staff, very clean, great kitchen equipment and easy to meet people since there is one big cozy kitchen table where everyone can sit around. It also smelled very good, because there was some aroma scent in the common area. Very cozy and big blankets. Would definitely come again!

“Cool building, vibes, staff”

Building is a super cool wood beam former miso manufacturing warehouse, and the dorm beds are in the former miso storage room! Awesome vibes, and the staff up front were super friendly, chatty, and helpful, giving me lots of local recommendations. Loved the coffee and the drinks served at the bar up front. Toilets and showers were small, as expected in such an old building, but clean and very serviceable. Loved my experience and would absolutely stay again!!

It's a wonderful old house. There're facilities provided. I took local bus from Matsumoto station at bus platform 23 to Shimachi bus stop.

“I hate these kind of hostels”

It is freaking hot! It feels like you are lying in a coffin… There is no seating area available past 10pm. The owner’s communication style is very unwelcoming and he basically lives in the dorm as well. So occupying the same two toilets and showers as the guest. All of this for a price at which you can get actual private rooms in Japan…

Location, need to let the hostel person know in advance that you are driving to secure a parking spot.

Room was spacious and very warm. The entire guesthouse is very clean and staff is present to assist you.

We booked the private room (shared bathroom) and we had a very cozy stay! We just stayed one night, but everything was clean and we have everything we needed. We would stay here again!

“It’s a wonderful and warm stay”

Old but remains clean and heritage-ish style. Altho the floor “cry” a little bit when you step on it, it’s fun. The bunk is good and comfortable. Everything is good. As we were stuck in the crowds after the fireworks and we called for a delay check in, the wild-curl up staff is so nice to accept our pledge and kept the cute smiling face after being woke up by our arrival.
