Wooden japanese style house with futon bed 😊 Felt like in an anime. Nice location, walking distance to castle, food and train station. If you don't speak Japanese, you'll need Google translate for communication.

The private room was fine, it was a fun experience to have an overnight stay in "Japanese style". The shower was great. But it is still a hostel, so only book this if you don't mind sharing a kitchen and bathroom! The big catch for this hostel is the location: literally a five-minute walk to the entrance of Matsumoto Castle!

Very nice atmosphere and staff very friendly and helpful.

This is the hostel with the best host in the world (I’m not kidding she’s very friendly). I wasn’t able to contact her at first so later she gave me her line account to chat with. There’s plenty of facilities available in the house like how you imagine a normal house for ten people would have. Also need to know where Noriko-san got the futon cause it was like sleeping in the clouds.

“Great location & traditional guesthouse”

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was perfect for us. The rooms were traditional and comfy, kitchen was well equipped. The toilets and shower were very clean. The host was very helpful, we struggled to get into a restaurant & she helped book us into one which was great and very appreciated. Great location for the castle, would stay again if we’re lucky to visit again.

The owner was very friendly. Every day she asked us for our plans and gave us tips and information about the place. The house is next to Matsumot Castle so it's perfect. She cleaned the house every day. There was enough space and the house has a lovely charme.

The host was very friendly and gave us a lot of tips on what to visit. The location is great just around the corner from the castle and a short walk from the train station. The room is comfortable in traditional style. The entire house was very clean and we especially enjoyed the retro style kitchen with beautiful tablewear. Would definitely recommend.

Really great vibe, super comfy futons and doonas, well equipped, lovely people running it, great location. We could walk into town very easily. We loved Matsumoto and wished we’d had more time there. Would more than happily stay here next time too.

Very very cool ryokan in a very good place. The castle is right around the corner and there is a convenience store just 2 min away by foot. The people working here are very nice, even though they are only there to clean during the day. I even got welcomed with a sign with my name on it! The shower and washer are good, the kitchen has everything you need and it's just a cool place.

“Comfortable overnight stay for a family”

Location was close to the castle. It was very clean and the rooms were comfortable for sleeping with futons and tatami mats. The bathrooms were shared but kept very clean too. The host communicated very often and helped us to check in a little earlier than expected.
