Takai the owner was sooooo helpful, it made all the difference to my stay in Matsumoto. I loved the book he made describing the different restaurants and what their specialities were. So much love and hard work have gone into making this place special. Takai was patient and answered all of my questions and went out of his way to help me. I am very grateful for his kindness and consideration. Lots of eating and drinking places are only a few minutes away as is the castle. It's also only about 15 minutes walk from the station so even with a suitcase I could walk here.

It was a great space to stay in, excellent location, the interior was funky, clean and very comfortable. Our host was very helpful and informative. Having tea and coffee available in the communal kitchen was great. Excellent value for money.

We had a great experience at the hostel. The person at reception was super helpful, kind and gave us great tips to check out local spots. The option to use the bikes was great and the local food guides were incredible. So much detail and love put into them. The facilities were really clean and had a great calming atmosphere. Would love to be back!
