“A Perfect Blend of Tradition, Comfort, and Smart Design”

Our stay at FUMAI sauna & INN – 遠赤外線サウナ – 松江の歴史と文化と共に過ごす smart hotel was a really unique and memorable experience. It’s important to understand what you’re booking: if you’re expecting a typical hotel, this might not be for you. But if you know what you’re getting, it is exactly as described and truly special. Everything is fully automated, so there is no traditional check-in or front desk interaction. The process is smooth and efficient, which fits perfectly with the “smart hotel” concept. The room is a perfect example of a traditional Japanese-style space, with the small entrance door and a futon bed that adds to the authentic atmosphere. Everything felt intentional and true to the concept. The sauna was absolutely amazing, and the shower facilities were excellent as well: definitely one of the highlights of our stay. This place is not really suited for families, but it’s perfect for couples. We stayed for one night, and it was pure perfection. A wonderful experience that we would happily recommend to anyone looking for something a bit different and immersive.

We were blown away by the facilities. The sauna was fab. The speaker system even better! We were so comfortable in the jinbei. Honestly can’t think of a place that e we have enjoyed more.

it was a fairly pleasant property but it one great handicap. to get into the bedroom you had to crawl through a tiny opening in the wall. of you are old like me it made it quite difficult..the sauna was a bit of a gimmick which i did not use.

Time to list all the good things! This isn’t a conventional hotel, it’s a “smart” hotel which is fascinating considering how cheap it is. All the features inside, from the light control to, of course, the solo sauna, were amazing. I also loved the door to the bedroom hall, which is connected to Japanese tea culture; generally, the tea culture theme permeates the hotel and it’s great. Also, again sauna aside, provided amenities were fantastic. We’re talking bath sponge, facial cleanser and toner, and even pads. And, there was water in the fridge, which is never the case in most Japanese hotels. Overall, super comfortable inside. It’s spacious, there’s the cool sauna, and the futon is comfortable and the duvet and pillows fluffy. (But, if you’re not used to sleeping on a futon, you might not be so keen on that) And of course, the location. Personally, I emphasize being in a location that allows me to be within walking distance of both the major sightseeing spots and all pertinent stations. So, for people like me, this place is ideal.

“Traditional Japanese futon sauna experience”

Great location, short walk to the station, castle, and situated near the river with nice views. Amazing food and drink locations nearby. Very clean room, relaxing sauna and very nice bathroom facilities, free tea and tea set for a little tea ceremony, comfortable bedding (traditional futon). Beautifully presented and exceptional value for money. What a fun experience.

Extraordinary stay in Matsue. After we found the futon in the hallway, it was a comfortable stay. We didn’t have the time to test the sauna, but everything else was fine.

“Be aware of the sleeping on the floor experience!”

Mixed feelings, as it was very beautiful. Private sauna makes it very unique experience, as well as the “bedroom” which is accessible through a window.

The hotel is in a great location, between the castle and the station, both of which are a 15-minute walk away. There are many restaurants of all kinds nearby. The hotel is nice and everything is of quality. The owner, although we did not meet him in person, is responsive and found solutions to our requests.
