““Perfect Stay by the Beach”🏝️”

I had an amazing stay at this guesthouse! It is located in a peaceful area just a 1-minute walk from the beach. Initially, I booked for one night but ended up extending my stay for the entire time I was on the island. The place is clean, quiet, and offers delicious freshly made breakfasts every day. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and always ready to assist with any questions or requests, including helping to organize excursions. I would definitely return here again in the future!

It was really nice place to stay, small hotel and very friendly and personal service. Guys working in the hotel surprised us several times, did much more than we expected. The hotel was in the good location.

“It was a magical and very relaxing experience and we would have wished to stay much longer.”

We had a most magical time at Sands Inn at Mathiveri. The Fahudh and Niro are the most lovely people and made us feel comfortable at once. Fahudh, the manager was always reachable and helped us with everything, starting with typical requests like travel arrangements and trips, but also with other wishes and problems like buying some special local food or an ATM machine, that did not work on our last day, when we urgently needed cash. We had breakfast and lunch everyday. The food Niro prepared was incredible good and diverse, although we are difficult to serve as vegans. ;) Vegan fluffy pancakes like we never had before and the curries we will remember forever. The location of the Inn was also perfect. In 2-3 minutes to dreamy spots at the bikini beach and as well in 3 minutes at the harbour, where we watched dozens of nurse sharks and stingrays at many nights. Google maps makes it look like the bikini beach, is in the south west further away, but when we were there in November 2023 many parts along the south side were designated as bikini beach. On the public beaches you really have to be covered or someone will immediately tell you to put on clothes. But this is the same on all local islands. We did two trips. One to see Mantas and one to see Whale Sharks and both were successful and good organized. The snorkelling possibilities on south side, bikini beach are not so great. We found some nice spots behind the picinic island, where you can easily swim to. But there is also a better snorkelling area south of the harbour. There you have to pass a long not so deep area with corals to get to the deeper and beautiful area. This is only possible during the high tide. It is a bit stressful not to touch the Corals. The danger of getting hurt by the Corals is not so high, but you should also not touch them in order not to destroy them. Of course you have to swim with long cloth there, but you want to do this on sunny days anyway in order not to get heavily sun burned.

The host Niro had a really personal touch and really took care of all the needs. He made excellent breakfast that he cooked himself and even asked beforehand what kind of fruit I would like to have. He took me to see the sharks at night as well as to see the crabs at the beach. The room was very comfortable, clean, really nicely furnished and the wifi was great.

First of all, Dana, the host was really kind, available, funny and a very good chef! Every day he prepared for us different amazing deals! The property is clean, welcoming and close to the beach.

Dana is a very kind and nice person. He prepared for us food - breakfast, lunch and dinner (we had very tasty fish twice), he was there all the time for us and helped us to organize the trips. He was waiting for us at the port, helped us at the end with our luggage and leaving the island. The room was clean with aircondition and good ferniture.

The island, the water and sand are amazing. Ahusan and Dani were great hosts and assured good food and nice trips

“Very good”

We enjoyed a lot staying at Sands Inn. During the 2 weeks, Auhsan and Dhanaja were very helpful and made us daily the most delicious meals. The guest house is so close to the beach. We took full board meals and it was worthy, as there are few places to eat on the island. We also tried the local bakery with local Maldivian fresh food and pastry. Delicious. Breakfast was with fresh fruit, eggs, butter, jam and toast. Instant coffee and tea daily. I really recommend this place.

Hauskeeper Ashan was willing to help to discover all places on the island. Even he organized Boat to near picnic Island. I asked for some coconut so he brought us 10 :) Invitation for local wedding, toilet repair in the night.. je was very helpfull. Local people loves our kids so they often come to Visit us and play, making cakes.. playing in the see was possible too even we came out of season.

“Cool one”

Simple but very clean and comfortable. Lical breakfast with funtastic home made bread. Beach with smal islad and funtastic beac is about 30-40m from house. Peacefull souronding and good beds for nice sleep. Close to the harbour and city center with shops and restaurants. The owner is funtastic guy who will help you with every issue or question you have. Can organize excursions and give you good tips about island.

Our hosts Ahusan and Ibrahim were so nice, extremely friendly and helpful. They were waiting for us at the port and help with our luggages. Ahusan also gave us a light tour around the island. They did their best to support us during our stay- we had lot of questions. :P We got 2 big towels per person and we got 2 big bottles of water every day. In the linving room there is a smart TV with big screen and netflix and also soundbar is available so we could have a movie night there. :) Wifi was very strong and fast. The AC and the fan in the room gave us comfort. The Breakfast was a nice to start ot our day. There is no coffee machine, but you can make nescafe or drink lavazza in the restaurant in the next street. Everything is very close so the location is perfect! Ahusan organized us some trips (ship wreck, Manta rays, sand island). There is a coconut opener in the garden and I could have an experience how to open a coconut as the locals. <3 I would recommend this place to stay! :)
