“More than just a stay”

I didn’t just find a place to stay, I found a beautiful family. They were incredibly kind and truly helped me when I needed it most, which meant a lot to me. The location is perfect, close to everything and very convenient. The room was comfortable, and I felt at home right away. A warm and special place that I wholeheartedly recommend.

Comfortable stay at Yunals place with good communication with staff. Nice spacious room with comfortable bed and mosquito net. Fridge in room was a nice bonus!

The location couldn't have been any better, super close to the beach and shops. The hosts were also lovely, greeted us with coconuts on arrival.

“4 minutes from beach”

A 4 minute walk to the beach, the location is perfect, Lasantha and his family are wonderful people and we enjoyed our stay here.. it was very hot, but we did have 2 fans and a cool shower. Lasantha (ex Sri Lankian Air Force) also has a tuk tuk and mini bus, and unlike the tik tuk mafia on the south coast has the highest interigty, honestly and professionalism also very reasonable in terms of cost and driving us around, for most of the day, taking us to places we wanted to goto and showing us some amazing things.

We stayed in the big family room with two big beds. It was bright, nice and spacious. The terrace spot was perfect in the evening, when the kids were at sleep, overlooking the palm trees. The family are very kind and modest, and were so nice playing with our curious kids.

“Amazing stay near Hiriketiya Beach!!!”

Amazing home style stay. The most beautiful, hospitable, kind and helpful family. Yunals place is close walking distance (less than 5minutes) to Hiriketiya Beach, which we surfed each morning and afternoon. It’s off a busy little road, and is quite and feels like its own little oasis. The family hired us a scooter and recommended amazing spots nearby to explore. We would love to stay here again next time we are in Sri Lanka.

“Intimate and well located room in Hirikethiya”

Yunal's place is well located. A comfortable room in an intimate area. Many restaurants around. Close to the beach. The owner is lovely and offer many services.

The room was clean and comfortable, not too far from the centre. I could access both sides of the beach from the property, which is around the same distance.

“Great value for money in the center of Hiri”

It was great value for money - the place was very conveniently located near lots of great restaurants (although hidden enough to separate from noise), and around 5 mins walk to the beach, and pretty good standard considering the price, with nice bathroom and AC in the room. The pictures are very accurate. The owner and his family were lovely, and we even got a welcome drink.

“Lovely simple private room”

Great location near some great bars and restaurants in hiriketiya. Simple but clean and room and bathroom with good facilities. The host was so helpful, gave us great recommendations and was generally just really lovely.

Yunal’s place is in the perfect spot. Four minutes walk from the beach, next door to some great cafes. The hosts were very friendly, making us delicious meals and providing useful tuk-tuk/taxi for trips further afield. Laundry service was also very helpful.

Loved my time here - I wish it was longer! I booked for one night and then they only had one extra night available. The room was very spacious and the bed was the comfiest I have had so far during my month in Sri Lanka. I had a little private terrace with a fan, which was perfect for yoga in the morning. I got breakfast and dinner here, both which were delicious. Location is perfect, tucked just away from the road, easy access to everything. I'm actually sad I couldn't stay longer and look forward to coming back one day!

Really kind family, who were lovely to stay near. They helped return my phone charger to me, and gave me fruit and a coconut on arrival.

It is a very well-located place to stay. The family who lives there is very kind and always helpful. They did our laundry at a very good price and were incredibly nice in organizing the taxi for us to go to the airport. I truly recommend this place.

We stayed only 1 night but we had a very good stay. We were welcomed with fresh coconut from the garden. It is located near the beach and a lot of shops around. The host managed to do a quick laundry for us which was very appreciated. Thank you again !
