“Excellent hotel for a relaxing beach holiday with great staff and facilities.”

We booked at the last minute at 8pm and the staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. The room was spotless and spacious. The facilities including pool, beach access and dining area were all great. The hotel arranged our next day transfer very efficiently. A great location for a relaxing beach break. The snorkelling nearby was really good.

Malee Beach Villas is in a fantastic location, just a few steps from the beach, with the restaurant and café right by the water. One of the highlights for us was being able to snorkel directly from the hotel. Just a couple of hundred metres along the shore, we were able to see turtles very reliably—often six or seven at a time—which was a real highlight for the whole family. There’s also some healthy coral and a lovely variety of other sea life. Breakfast was simple but delicious—we particularly enjoyed the granola and smoothie bowls, as well as the banana pancakes. The rooms were spacious, cool, and very clean, making it a comfortable place to return to after a day in the sun. We also ate at the restaurant several times and found both the Western and Sri Lankan dishes to be very tasty. It was great to have good coffee in the mornings and enjoy drinks at the bar in the evenings. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. We especially appreciated how relaxed they were about our checkout on the final day—we were able to keep one of our rooms until around 2pm, which really took the pressure off and meant we could properly enjoy our last morning. Overall, this is a brilliant spot for a relaxed family beach holiday, and we would happily stay here again.

“Good hotel with minor flaws”

We had a room on the top of the house with a nice balcony. The street were the hotel is, is very busy but it was not overly noisy. The food and beverage in the restaurant was really good and was not so expansive. The pool was clean and spacious. 200meter from the hotel is a snorceling spot directly in front of the beach and we saw a lot of sea turtles.

Super room with balcony with views of pool and sea. Lovely shower. Great location with beach bars, restaurants, scooter hire, shops. Chilled vibe - lots of surfers! Gorgeous pool. Had the included breakfast - gorgeous smoothie bowl one day and the Sri Lankan choice of string hoppers and Dahl the next - delicious! Plus fruit and tea. All eaten overlooking the beach. Gave us secure parking for our Tuktuk. Recommend staying - excellent value for the price.

The pool was warm so our boys absolutely loved it. Restaurant by the beach was great.

The room is nice and big, cleaned upon request. Restaurant is right downstairs, they also offer a bunch of extra services, including currency exchange, which is very handy in Sri Lanka.

“Fabulous little hotel”

The location of the hotel is absolutely beautiful and 4 nights just wasn’t enough! Our room was spacious with a lovely balcony and views of the sea. AC very efficient and the room and beds comfortable. Very clean, good size bathrooms with good showers. Breakfast was lovely outside with the sea and beach just feet away. Food was excellent in the restaurant and we ate here every night. I hope the area around here doesn’t get too developed as it feels fairly low-key and unspoilt. Very much enjoyed the sun loungers by the beach with the hotel’s small beach bar with friendly staff. Great swimming pool too if you want a change from the beach.

The best part of the Villa is the sea front restaurant. It's very nice to eat breakfast looking on the sea. Food is good, but nothing exceptional.

“Amazing value for money hotel, restaurant and pool overlooking turtle beach”

Huge family room with a large king bed and two singles, plus a balcony. Excellent air conditioning and fans, plus mosquito nets. Lovely pool and the bar and restaurant overlooking the sea was fantastic. Great food, fantastic views - we saw sea turtles from the bar area and got to swim with the turtles in nearby Polhena beach (although I think you could snorkel just next to the hotel and they were able to lend us snorkels). There are other restaurants nearby too within walking distance. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Lovely gift shop too!

A really delightful place to stay. The pool is lovely. The beach is 30 seconds walk. A very beautiful place. The restaurant is veer good. My room had a great veranda and wonderful view.

The staff are so lovely and helpful.. Nice size family room and comfy beds. The food in the restaurant is really good and it's right on the sea front. We saw a turtle walking up the beach to lay its eggs while we were having dinner one night! The hotel organised a great fishing trip for us. We brought all the fish we had caught back to the hotel, and the chefs cooked them all for us for our lunch.

It's a great place , it's a complex of 3 areas , in front of the beach , amazing stay.
