The service and location

Great location. Felt safe going out to eat in the evening as a solo female traveller. The staff were so helpful, friendly and kind. The breakfast was traditional Nica style. Room was cosy and I appreciated the hot shower after being off the grid for a few days. I ended up extending my stay by a night. They did my laundry and happily took extra care with some more delicate items, air drying them instead of using dryer. This was much appreciated. Overall, excellent value for money.

The room was very nice and super clean. There were plugs with USB portals which I found so nice. The rooms have aircondition and fan on the ceiling and the beds are so comfortable. The staff were amazing and very helpful. If I come back to Matagalpa I will definitely go back to Hotel San José!! Thank you for an amazing stay.

This is a lovely hotel right in the middle of downtown. An easy walk to the park and a lot of restaurants. The staff is wonderful, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Highly recommended. Beyond my expectations.
