Cosy cottage in beautiful setting. Added bonus that thé quant country pub/resto The Boars is à couple of minutes walk away. Thé accommodation features lots of little garden niches to enjoy the sun and à hot tub which WE were unable to enjoy in rainy October but WE would be very tempted to return in thé spring or summer to fully appreciate this lovely place.

“Disappointing and Lacking in every way so left.”
Very little. Karen was lovely, answered the phone promptly so we could check in and showed us the breakfast room where you could help yourself to tea coffee and water throughout your stay as there is nothing in the room. Great location away from the road and lots of space in the grounds.

“Our 2-day stay was comfortable, enjoyable and we will return. Highly recommended.”
The chateau is set in beautiful surroundings with rugged cliffs to one side. It has status and is full of character with a lot of history. The current owners are refurbishing it, so it is a working progress, but nevertheless you can see how much more beautiful it will become. Despite it’s ongoing renovation the hosts have made it a comfortable and clean place to stay. The breakfast is Continental and plentiful, enough to set you up for the day. Our room had fabulous views of the grounds and cliffs in the distance. The chateau is perfectly located for visiting interesting nearby attractions. For our short stay we visited the medieval town of Martel, which we loved. Karen, our host, was friendly, welcoming and most helpful. She was very informative about the area and places to visit. We loved it and will return.

The breakfast was wonderful, fresh croissants and Karen's home-made banana bread. Karen was a wonderful hostess, telling us the history of the chateau, offering sight recommendations, and even giving us a parking pass for Rocamadour left by a previous guest. She contacted us to let us know we had left something behind, and asked us what we'd like her to do about it. We were thrilled by staying in the chateau and with the chance to walk to the neighboring hamlet (Gluge). I give highest recommendations to Karen and Queen's Escape! Thanks, Karen, for the wonderful stay!
