Fantastic location, greenery, sea, and everything. The front door needs cleaning, otherwise it feels closed. Nice girls at reception. Excellent room, minifridge, tea kettle + coffee machine, powerful A/C, good Wi-Fi signal but not for the TV (smart TV + cable). Lying on the bed, I looked out at the sea and all the skysurfing. Rating: 8.5

The location was excellent, right opposite the beach. I had a sea view. The room was well equipped with a coffee machine and kettle, TV and air conditioning. The bathroom was clean and modern. It was a single room, but a 3/4 bed made it very comfortable. The breakfast was very generous. The staff were welcoming and helpful.

“Misleading & Sketchy Practices”

Booked a standard double room. On arrival (after check-in time!), reception said there was a "mistake" – our room had a shared hallway WC, never mentioned during booking. Room wasn't even ready and bed smaller than standard double. Room didnt even had any number, just a prive was written looks like store room was converted. Told we could cancel, but on a peak summer weekend in Marseille, that wasn't realistic. While waiting, two more guests arrived. One had the exact same "mistake" and was given the same cancellation line. The receptionist admitted this "error" happens often – and the room was being cleaned, proving it had been knowingly rented out before under false pretenses. The third guest had their room, but all of us were told the city tax was cash-only due to a "broken" card machine. Strangely, when we paid later, the card machine worked perfectly – no mention of any issue. Selective and dishonest. Bathroom didnt even has a door. Hajar, the assistant at reception reminded us every day to give good ratings on booking.com upto a point of creating a discomforting situation Feels like a deliberate bait-and-switch on room types and a push for cash payments. Not a hotel experience, more like a misleading hostel. Avoid. Be very cautious.

“Do not escape! Wait 30 min and you will like this hotel :)”

Don't be afraid of the first impression. I In the Booking.com it's not written that it is a 2 star hotel and when you enter you want tp escape: the reception is look like in a hostel, the receptionist does not speak English at all, there is no elevator and it is 15:10 but your room is not cleaned yet. Please wait 30 minutes and than you'll find out that the staff is very nice, the sea is 100 m and the beach is 7 min walk, there are plenty of food places around and the bakery is a next door. The room is clean and the wifi is fast and overall it is more than 2 star for sure.

On arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful. They prepared our rooms even though we arrived early, We was offered drinks while we waited. The room was comfortable with everything we needed for an overnight stay. Comfy bed, Coffee machine, nice bathroom. We didn't have breakfast, but it looked lovely. The hotel lobby also has a vending machine which was useful. The location was very close to the beach just opposite which was nice for some early morning fresh air and beautiful views. There is a bus stop opposite the hotel,. You can get a card for 2euros person that gives you access to the buses, metro and trams for 1 hour. This was very useful to go Vieux Port and Notre Dame (Marseille) The buses ran so regularly we never waited longer than 10 minutes. There is a patisserie outside the hotel which had the most amazing cakes and pastries. Not great for the diet but was too good to resist. Very reasonable prices. There is also newsagents close by (less than 2 minutes) if you needed anything from the shops. Escale Borely is within walking distance of the hotel (10/15 minutes) or the bus stops right outside, This is full of restaurants and more beautiful views. We had dinner in Les Trottoirs which is within walking distance (you can see it from the hotel) The food was so good and the potions were too big for 1 person. There are lots of places to eat just outside of the hotel. Bars, restaurants and pubs. Personally there was nothing not to like. The staff, the hotel, the location and the price was such good value. I have recommended this to friends and family.

Wonderfully located, beach restaurants and fab vibe

A big massage gel in the room and some hair in the bed gave me an idea of how the hotel functions. When I said I speak English, morning receptionist didn't repeat the question she had placed. Not even "good bye"
