Proximity to St Charles Station and Metro links. Easy walk to the Old Port and everything it had to offer. Caroline was lovely as was the continental breakfast. The room was huge only difficulty was no lift and a third storey room but Caroline was kind enough to move our luggage. Tea and coffee in the room and access to fridge milk from the kitchen.

Casa Ortega is perfectly located a few minutes from the train station and so in a great location for exploring the city. The BnB is beautifully decorated and we loved both our room and the lovely reception area where you can enjoy the generous breakfast. Caroline was an excellent host, overing us plenty of tips for exploring the city and the surrounding area. I would highly recommend, and hope to visit again some day if I'm lucky enough to return.

My husband and I were so glad to have discovered Casa Ortega, but also to meet the amazing Caroline - who it must be said is truly a Marseille legend ! For many years travelled, and to many places visited, we have never encountered such a dedicated , kind , interesting and all round wonderful host as Caroline. On this returning visit we arrived in a terrible heatwave to just drop off bags early, but seeing that we were distressed after our stifling journey Caroline, without prompting, prepared our room extra early so as we could gain sanctuary in our own lovely air conditioned space. It was truly an act of kindness for which we were so grateful. Caroline even helped us with our heavy luggage up the winding stairs to the second floor - and this was all just upon our arrival, what a welcome !! I wish that I had more review space in which to pour further praise, but suffice to say Caroline is truly an outstanding host as reinforced through our further dealings with her. As well as being exceptionally and professionally managed , the hotel itself is ideally located for those travelling to Marseille St. Charles mainline station as it is positioned right across the road in a small side street. As well as super convenient, this accommodation offers a peaceful and welcoming oasis from the surrounding hustle and bustle. Inside you are greeted by the most quaint and welcoming bijou reception area. Our senses were truly wowed as we followed on up the characterful stairway and into our individually decorated and welcoming room. We loved this hotel and were so charmed by its inspiring and inventive designing. Whether it is due to the historical flamenco echoes of the past (do ask Caroline), or the interesting melange of decorative designs punctuated by an inspiring collection of furnishings through the modern ages , we were truly charmed.

The hostess was very kind, the room was very nice, the design quirky, the breakfast was fresh, and there was even a daily room service. Right next to the TGV train station.

A very characterful and friendly bed and breakfast. The location is very near the main station with a good 24-hour bakery almost next door. Our hosts gave us good ideas of places to visit and lent us a beach towel and gave us directions for a trip to Calanque de Sugiton. The room was fairly small but had everything we needed including a kettle.

Casa Ortega is very cool. We loved the eclectic style and the quirky pieces that owner, Caroline, has collected. Breakfast is great, homemade granola and yoghurt together with fresh crossiants and coffee. We loved the conversations over breakfast with both Caroline and other guests. It felt like home from home.

A great accommodation very close to the Gare de Marseille Saint-Charles. Big airy room with lots of character. Comfortable bed. The host was lovely and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful. It would be good to have a mini-fridge in the room to store milk etc. Otherwise, it was perfect.

Lovely quirky b&b with a great host. We had a lovely room at the top of the house with a balcony. Thoroughly enjoyed. And Marseilles is a fabulous city.to.exolore.

We loved Caroline, the hostess. She is really nice, warm and careful. At breakfast, we had the feeling that we were guests at her home. Great breakfast, with delicios homemade yoghurt and jams. She gave us priceless advice, too. The apartament has an original, retro design, and is very close to the train station. Thank you, Caroline! Hope to see you again!
