“Central, Quiet, and Truly Charming Stay”

Riad Maialou is a charming, cozy haven tucked away in an incredibly central location. Just a 2 min walk from the main road near Bab Lakssour: close enough to soak in the vibrant energy of the Medina, yet peaceful and easy to find your way back to after a busy day. Aziz, our host, was an absolute pleasure: warm, helpful, and effortlessly friendly. He made our stay feel relaxed and welcoming from start to finish. Unlike many places in the area, the riad is wonderfully quiet. It features a lovely rooftop terrace with a view of the Koutoubia, and a serene inner courtyard with sound of birds, orange trees, and a small fountain which create a truly calming atmosphere. Our double room was beautifully designed, just like the rest of the riad’s tasteful style. Our king size bed was extremely comfortable, complete with a warm, thick duvet which we appreciated on our chilly night. The walk from the main street is a little winding and might feel slightly uncertain at first, but don’t let that put you off. The riad is absolutely worth it, and the area is both safe and peaceful. Overall, the pricing is very fair for such a stylish and comfortable stay in a prime location. They also arranged our airport transfer at a better rate than other riads we stayed at, which was a great bonus. I’d happily return in a heartbeat.

This riad is perfectly located—right in the heart of the city, yet tucked away on a peaceful street. Breakfast and dinner were absolutely delightful, and the Hammam was a truly relaxing experience. Aziz from the staff was incredibly attentive and kindly reminded about breakfast, making me feel genuinely looked after.

The location was excellent, right by the medina yet surprisingly calm, which was perfect after a full day of exploring. Breakfast was freshly prepared each morning and offered good variety. The rooms were comfortable, but the real highlight for us was the staff. They were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and made us feel genuinely welcome and well looked after. As other reviewers have mentioned, it’s best to arrange the airport transfer directly through the Riad (the price is very reasonable). Someone will meet you by the taxi when it arrives and guide you straight to the property, which can be difficult to find on your first visit.

“Brilliant restful stay moments from the vibrant Marrakech attractions.”

Fabulous location, close to Jem El fna, koutubia and the souks. 10 mins walk to Bacha Cafe, secret garden, El Fenn etc if you’re interested . Staff are great, rooms are very clean. The riad is very peaceful, lovely rooftop terrace.

“Excellent choice in the heart of old Medina Marrakesh”

We spent hours looking for the right Riad and now having stayed at Riad Maialou, I know this was the best choice! Really excellent location, so quiet. In the heart of the Medina. The "small" room we booked was far bigger than we imagined. Keep in mind there are lots of stairs everywhere in Marrakesh, and this Riad is no exception. Definitely book your arrival airport transfer with the Riad directly. We were met at Arrivals on landing in Marrakesh and guided to the hotel on foot from just outside the Medina gate. You have to walk approx 5min to get to the Riad as no cars are allowed inside. Navigating this if you have never been to Marrakesh would be a nightmare, so we are definitely happy to have had the pre-arrangee transfer. It was also really affordable and we paid at the Riad on arrival.

The riad is very nice, have a mini garden inside, new renowated. The terasse is beutiful and have a nice view in city one side. The breakfast could be more diverse.our breakfast here was the worst of the whole trip.I recommend to take hammam in this riad. The girl, which did hammam procedure was very professional and nice -Thank You.

Great central location and a hidden gem of the city, when you walk through the doorway you are great by a wonderful sight of orange trees, warm welcome by staff and a fabulous rooftop terrace to relax on and enjoy the sunrise, the bedrooms are truly wonderful giving you a unique stay

Sala was so friendly and helpful, bringing us tea when we arrived about 8pm. As everyone says about all the riads, and even thought I had made a little map, hard to find when you first arrive. We stayed in their tent on the roof, which was great, much larger than a normal room, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent. I was worried the "tent" might be a little cold, we were there in early March, but the temperature was perfect and there's an air con/heating unit if needed. It's actually a wooden box, but draped like a tent inside. Very cosy and there is only one small window with shutters and a curtain, so nice and dark in the morning, no waking with the dawn. Close to everything.

Superb riad in the city centre with lovely staff. Can be a little hard to find, one or two extra signs would be nice. But the staff made up for it and were super supportive. The tent room is nice but slightly awkward if you're with friends as there is no seperation between the bathroom and the beds, just a sheet....
