From initial booking, which was very last minute (the night before) to leaving the host was fabulous, making sure we had everything we needed, as well as offering advice and keeping us updated with the situation locally in respect of the severe flooding in the area. The property exceeded our expectations in every respect, the decor theming is fabulous, the property is clean, spacious, well equipped with everything you need. The surroundings are tranquil and perfect for a relaxing time. The animals that came by to visit were the highlight of our days, warthogs, zebras, kudu, waterbuck, impala, meerkats, monkeys and giraffes and in the evenings the lemurs and the resident bush babies This was our 5th trip to South Africa and by far the best even though the weather was appalling with heavy rain just about every day causing significant flooding with roads and bridges being damaged. Although we couldn’t get out much to explore the days just flew by chilling on the deck watching for our next visitors. Marloth Park itself is lovely from what we managed to see and you never know what you’ll see wandering along the road on the way to the shops! There are 2 supermarkets, butchers, gift shop, post office and launderette as well as restaurants. All in all after a rocky start to the trip arriving to find our previously booked accommodation no longer available, we booked Mugwenzi and Justin, the host, kept in touch with the right amount of interaction. We have already booked for next year and can’t wait for it, hopefully with better weather 😀😀 I cannot recommend Mugwenzi highly enough!

A lovely house in a fantastic location. Not overlooked by anyone. Well equipped with pretty much all you could need and space so you never felt on top of each other. Fabulous balconies, decking areas and seating areas in, on, and outside the house to suit everyone - places to eat, chill, soak up the sun or just relax. Lovely little plunge pool, great braai, and fire circle. Great communication from the owner, friendly helpful and checking in occasionally to make sure all was well. Confident that had there been any issues, they’d have been very quickly addressed. Lots of animal visitors to the garden while we there (giraffe, zebra, kudu, impala, bushbucks, mongoose, and warthogs plus of course the big and small bush babies) so a good supply of animal feed was a necessity to keep them happy (as well as yogurt & banana for the bush babies)! Great location in Marloth Park, which is in itself lovely to drive around and spot the wildlife. Convenient shops/restaurants/petrol station/alcohol store etc all within short driving distances with larger supermarkets not too far away either. Easy access to the Crocodile Bridge gate to the Kruger. We had an amazing stay and were sorry when we had to leave. I don’t usually stay at the same place twice, but I may just have to make an exception here!

The bush babies visiting you every evening on the deck and the always passing by of animals(zebras, kudus, warthog, and some other animals. Which you can feed. Unfortunately, no giraffe came by). Those were the highlights of our stay in this house, especially for our 4 year old daughter.

We really enjoyed the house and outdoor surroundings. We had lots of animals visiting the house and pool area, Zebras and Kudu's, wartogs, impalas, and 5 giraffs on the ground also. The owner was very helpfull to us, arranging 2 times safari for us, that otherwise was impossible for us, cause of highseason and no tickets left. The inside of the house is as on the pictures. The outside is really the big plus of the house, and the grill place, fireplace and terasses were amazing. We would love to come back.

The environment was so calm amidst the breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife. The property matched the pictures perfectly. The hospitality of the host was warm and engaging, alway quick to respond to queries or attend to any requests we made.

The property was everything I hoped for. The outside space is amazing. The house is spacious and very neat. Justin also responds to messages in a matter of seconds, which I really appreciated when we found ourselves in need of a little assistance. Will defnitely return!

“A Delightful Family Retreat”

Our family – two children, a grandparent, and two parents – recently had the pleasure of staying at Kruger Kumba - Mugwenzi, and it exceeded all our expectations. This retreat proved to be the perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and comfort for all ages. Communication with the hosts was speedily answered. Always friendly and willing to assist! We look forward to returning soon to create more memories.
