This place is absolutely beautiful! The owners and all the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Looking outside, you can see so many animals wandering around, which makes the experience even more special. The safari tours they organize are also amazing and well worth it. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an unforgettable wildlife experience.

The hospitality of the owners and the entire team is truly exceptional and makes this place incredibly special. The property is beautifully maintained and offers everything one could wish for. One of the highlights is being surrounded by nature, with wildlife right on your doorstep – an unforgettable experience. Everything was spotless, well organized, and clearly cared for with great attention to detail. The food was outstanding throughout our stay. Both the dinners and breakfasts were absolutely delicious, and the service was consistently attentive, friendly, and helpful. Another major highlight was the perfectly organized game drive. Our guide was extremely experienced and shared an impressive amount of knowledge about Kruger National Park and its wildlife. His expertise, passion, and ability to spot and explain animal behavior made the experience truly unforgettable. What makes this place stand out above all, however, are the people. The owners and staff create a warm, genuine, and welcoming atmosphere that is very rare to find. They go above and beyond to ensure every guest has a memorable stay. This is an absolute gem. Very near the Crocodile Bridge and it located very near the Crocodile River. We booked the half board option. The Braai was an experience in itself. The owners are hands on and always available.

Our stay at Foxy Crocodile Lodge was the perfect start to our Africa trip. We honestly can’t put into words how warmly we were welcomed by Basil and Riëtte. From the very first moment, they made us feel at home and went above and beyond to make our stay special. Their hospitality made these two days truly unforgettable for us. Thank you so much for the wonderful time – we will always remember it. Hopefully we will be back very soon!

“Fantastic stay at Kruger!”

Fantastic stay at Kruger! From the very beginning, the staff was incredibly welcoming and professional. The lodge is beautiful, spotless, and very well organized. We did three safaris with them and the experience was outstanding. Our guide, Jaun, was exceptional — very knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about what he does. We saw many animals and learned a lot about their habitats. The traditional braai on our last night was delicious and the perfect way to end our stay. Highly recommended!

We couldn’t recommend Foxy Crocodile Bush Lodge highly enough, if you’re planning a stay in Kruger Park, look no further. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by kudu, antelope, and wildebeest roaming freely right outside the lodge (see photos). It was such a magical welcome and immediately set the tone for the rest of our stay. The lodge itself is incredible - spotless, beautifully designed, and wonderfully homely. The bed was huge and exceptionally comfortable. Spending time on the terrace or in the splash pool, watching animals wander by just metres away, was an unforgettable way to relax and soak in the surroundings. The food was outstanding. Breakfast was brought to us on the terrace each morning, which felt like such a treat, and dinner was equally impressive. The bush braai, especially the T-bone steak with its incredible glaze, was a real highlight. Basil and Riette were fantastic hosts who truly couldn’t do enough for us. They were warm, attentive, and made us feel completely at home throughout our stay. The safari departing directly from the lodge each morning was another unforgettable experience and made everything so easy and seamless. Overall, this was one of the most magical places we’ve ever stayed, and we can’t wait to return.

The location. The peace with the sounds of Africa. The wild animals stopping by. The staff who are super friendly and you can tell that they love their job. The owners who have built a wonderful little osasis in Marlon Park. The bed which was super comfortable. The closeness to the Kruger Gate (Crocodile Bridge gate is 20mins drive). Food and drinks shops are 10-15 minutes drive. Various restaurants are a similar drive. The in house bbq/braai on an open fire pit that the staff prepare and serve. The size of the room/villa. 1 min walk to the fence dividing Marloth Park from the Crocodile river and the Kruger. For my wife and I it was a wonderful 4 days of relaxation in the African Bush just chilling, reading, watching African wildlife from our terrace.

“A fantastic place to stay”

Have stayed here before & would definitely stay again. The location is fantastic, the rooms are more like an apartment. Everything was clean & lovely. The private splash pool was really nice as it was pretty hot. Love the fact that the kudu, giraffe and zebra roam freely around yet it’s not in the park. The owners were really friendly. The ladies prepared & cooked our meals and prepared our rooms.

“Ideal pace to explore Kruger”

We had a wonderful four-night stay at Foxy Lodge and are so glad we chose it for our first Kruger adventure! It’s just an hour and a half from Kruger International Airport, so getting there and back was super easy. Plus, the lodge is right by the river, offering amazing views of Kruger National Park and a chance to see and hear hippos. Marloth Park, where the lodge is, is bursting with wildlife, and we saw heaps of different animals just around us. Being so close to Crocodile Bridge Gate (a quick 20-minute drive) meant we could easily get into Kruger Park, which meant more sleep and more time to explore. The rooms are big, air-conditioned and have everything you need. The WiFi is great and the dinners are delicious, especially the T-Bone dinner. The lodge also runs safaris with their own car and guide, and we managed to spot all the Big Five. Our guide, Jaun, was fantastic. The friendly and helpful team, from booking online to the lodge staff, made us feel welcome and we had a great time.

Amazing staff and experience. Joretha was a wonderful, ever-present host, and Johan was an engaging, knowledgeable game-drive guide who got us up close to the lions. Delicious meals, wildlife everywhere for selfies, and hippos visible in the Crocodile River just across the lodge.
