The hotel is really nice and our room looked even better than on the photos. Hotel staff helped us a lot with our questions and they also speak english well. Breakfast is served very nicely in traditional way and tastes good. Would definitely choose this hotel again.

“An oasis in marvellous Mardin.”

Ankahan Konaği is central but secluded. Overlooking the vast plains of what was once Mesopotamia . Our time spent there turned out to be unique & magical. Hotel manger Naïf Omur is endlessly positive , entertaining & terrific help. Our special thanks to Ahmet Kuzu who also took care with anything we needed. We felt blessed to have spent a few late nights sitting under the stars on the spacious terrace while he played his musical instrument & sang to us… & Naïf joined in too! It was beautiful. We will always remember the amazing time we had at Ankahan Konaği - Mardin . We were sad to leave & really appreciated the help Naïf & Ahmet gave by carrying our luggage to the taxi at street level.

“Lovely stay in converted old house”

Hotel beautifully converted in old house down a quiet street in old part of Mardin. Lovely room with an amazing view over the plains of Mesopotamia. Comfortable bed, good shower with plenty of hot water. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good Turkish breakfast. Nice terrace to sit and watch the sunset. Very glad they helped us carry our cases from the road down to the hotel and back again!

We stayed in this wonderfull hotel in Mardin for 3 days. It was a dream - directly at the hillside with several open terasses . In the night we could sit watching the moon and the stars, an be part of the universe. In the morning you could se the sunrise and the open and beatifull landscape of Mesopotamia., witch brougt you back to acient time. The daily leader speek english and is very helpfull, and ready to do, what ever you want. The hole staff kind and open. We can higly recomand this place Ellen + Jens Peter - Denmark

The staff were very accomodating with great food, great interactions and great memories were created. I was so happy with my stay here and am so glad we chose this Konak. Would highly recommend do anyone that is going to Mardin

The hotel is very beautiful. Our room was very comfortable, the view from the terrace incredible and the staff very helpful. Very good breakfast too. Last but not least, they let us stay in a better room that we had initially booked for the same price.

the breakfast was great. location was great. Cardia was fantastic - she was always very friendly and happy. She cheerfully kept me supplied with extra teas and coffees and fruit whenever i asked. the view was great the balcony was fantastic it was quiet.

The Hotel is a very unique one, very nice unusual decoration with a mix of european old style and arab style. The hotel has amazing views and is very close to the old town main city

This is one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in. If you want to feel the unique atmosphere of Mardin it will be the right choice. The hotel is conveniently located near the main road, all attractions and the parking of the neighboring hotel Gazi Konagi, where guests of Ankahan Konagi can also leave their car for a fee (which is rarely for Mardin located on the stairs and narrow streets). The hotel is an incredibly beautiful medieval mansion with a beautiful courtyard and rooftop terraces that offer unreal view to Mesopotamia and Syria. Each of the 11 rooms has a unique design, some rooms even have a private hammam. We stayed in the Reyhan room, which was incredibly beautiful, medieval and colorful. A very good Turkish breakfast is served in the morning. We would like to thank the hotel staff who were very helpful and attentive in everything. Special thanks to manager Naif, who is the right person in the right place, very knowledgeable and attentive. He met us at the parking, showed us the hotel, provided with all the necessary information about what to visit, where to eat, etc., and also arranged our trip to Dara, monasteries, Kasymie madrasah, as well as our return transfer. It was clear that he loves his city and made every effort to make us leave the best memories about Mardin.

“A historical stay for a historical city like Mardin!”

A wonderful stay where staff go above and beyond with their service and cleanliness. The rooms are spotless, the location is in a great spot, in Old Mardin with touristic spots nearby. The staff will stop at nothing to ensure your stay at Mardin is everything you wanted. The only thing I’d pick on is the amount of stairs taken to get there BUT this is in no way the hotels fault as Mardin has stairs everywhere to get to anywhere! Highly recommend this place, we will definitely be coming back!
