“Expect 4 stars with great views and it will be fine”

The staff were all great and view from the top deck was amazing at sunset. The issue for us was that we had expected luxury 5 star, and the standard just didn’t meet those expectations.

We enjoyed cocktails in the bar looking over the view and the sushi was excellent. We liked the fruit sticks given every afternoon by the pool attendant.

Its uniqueness. It’s a charming boutique hotel in a nature reserve (saw macaws, snakes, iguanas while chilling at the pool) The food is excellent, service top notch, comfy beds (we slept so well)

Outstanding hotel in a dream of a location. The team is all over the details. From allowing you to select your cosmetics brand, to a WhatsApp- based concierge service, to excellent assistance with tours and park access, to the restaurant team who were amazing. Tastefully decorated rooms which are cleaned beautifully, set within stunning grounds, simply brilliant!

“Great service - feel like a VIP!”

The staff were fantastic and made you feel like a VIP the whole time! Rooms were very clean and had proper storage for clothes. They offer a complimentary tour of their reserve which is helping to reintroduce macaws back into Costa Rica. Clarence was our guide for this, and he was great! Spa massages were well worth splashing out on and there’s a very fun little 24/7 golf cart service to get you to the front gates up/down a steep hill.

“5 star luxury in our favourite place Manuel Antonio”

5 star luxury stay. Fabulous views. Staff were fantastic - security, drivers, concierge, reception, waiters, housekeeping. All were helpful, friendly and made our stay perfect. Worth every penny.

“5-star service in a perfect setting - could have stayed longer!”

Stunning views of the sea, mountains and sunset, comfortable, clean and spacious rooms and friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you. The choice of toiletries, super helpful concierge (shoutout to Edson), shuttle bus into town and macaw tour around the reserve were an excellent touch - adding to the 5-star experience.

Great location. Good view from the pool and restaurant. You could watch the sunset from the terrace bar. It's amazing.

Clean and well maintained, tropical haven. Housekeeping were fastidious, with cleaning daily.

Staff were very friendly, helpful and took care of us! They gave us a small food goodie bag for the long trip we had ahead :)

Staff were great. Particularly Daniela our concierge and Clarence, who was an amazing guide. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Restaurant food was very good and staff were excellent/lovely. Good cocktails too. Room was clean and comfortable, especially the bed. Setting was amazing. Walter the driver of the shuttle service is brilliant. Liked the choice of products for the room, welcome drink and departing lunch bag.

Great views from the mountain/forest to the sea. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Surrounded by so much nature and woke up to a different type of bird or animal right outside our room each day. It was truly magical!

“Incredible from start to finish!!”

This was the 5th hotel that we’d stayed in on our honeymoon Costa Rica travels. I can honestly say the stay from start to finish was the best I’d ever experienced. We were greeted with much help and a refreshment at reception. Our concierge, Catalina was extremely helpful and helped us with any questions/needs. The rooms, studios and grounds are perfect… the hotel has its own reserve with trails so wildlife is on your doorstep… beautiful to wake up to. All the staff are soo friendly and go above and beyond to help you with any of your needs… Johnny makes the best cocktails… Abraham is welcoming and helpful with luggage/golf buggy drop offs and pick ups. He is also informative for local amenities for travels. Although the hotel has everything you need and the food is out of this world… breakfast, lunch and dinner. Totally recommend the fine dining menu with wine to compliment each dish. We can’t thank Gaia Hotel and Reserve enough for our stay and we will look to come back and stay here again in a couple of years time. Thank you again, love Colleen and James XX PURA VIDA ❤️🇨🇷🙏🏼

“Nice Hotel, Great Service, But need to be rennovated”

Location, literally a 5 star service offered from the staff, private concierge, ready to help for any issue or request. Food is good, service in the restaurant is great. The view is nice.
