“Wonderfully quiet and relaxing spot.”

We indulged in the Cookery Course which was good fun and delivered new pasta making skills. The food in the restaurant was exceptional, almost as good as the attentive staff who were good with their suggestions. Be sure to try the vegetable pie!! The flat was great for 2 but the bunk beds would be a squeeze for a couple. It could not have been better placed. It was great to be left washing powder when a washing machine was available - so sensible especially for long travellers - we were on a 2 month trip so needed to wash.

“Super great place in beautiful Mandello del Lario”

First of all, Mandello is a fantastic location. This charming village offers plenty to do and is perfect for scenic walks along the lake or through the park. It's less touristy than the more well-known towns, which gives it an authentic, local feel. The service from Mamma Ciccia was excellent—very professional and responsive. The ladies spoke great English and were extremely helpful throughout our stay. We absolutely loved the apartment. While it’s not brand new, it has everything you need, is spacious, well-maintained, and gives you that warm feeling—like visiting an Italian relative. The bed linens and towels were fresh, white, and felt brand new. The view from the apartment is simply stunning. It can be a bit lively at times - but this is Italy! People enjoy life here, and that adds to the charm. I imagine it’s one of the calmer places even in peak season. There are several cafes nearby and a big supermarket in 5 min drive. Parking in May was easy - we found free spots nearby without any trouble. We’d definitely stay here again. In fact, two of our friends have already asked for the details after seeing our photos! “Lovely area but disappointing accommodation”

The view was spectacular and it was lovely to wake up in the morning to see all the wildlife and fishermen. It is in a rare place in Mandello del Lario where you can actually get down to the water and see up and down the lake. It is right at the centre of the old town and the subject of many photos.

The location was perfect, with a spectacular view of the lake. The apartment was very comfortable. A large and fully equipped kitchen for those who want to cook. Kind staff, free parking about 5 minutes' walk from the apartment.

Brilliant location, waking up to the lake view every day was amazing. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by as well as the train station and ferry terminal. No air con but was not an issue as apartment stayed fairly cool during the night.
