Highly recommended to visit the lake of como from this calm village. Very welcoming team and great Osteria offering local food in a great atmosphere.

It's a great accomodation with great hosts/owners and staff. We had a great and cozy room, it's near the lake and other bigger cities, like Lecco. We really enjoyed our breakfast there, those croissants, hams and cheeses are incredible and those jams were very tasty. They even gave my girlfriend gluten free bread for the breakfast.

Stefano was the perfect host—from picking us up at the station and sharing valuable insights about the lake area, to ensuring all our needs were met throughout our stay. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed. We also enjoyed a spacious, well-equipped communal lounge and kitchen area. Each morning, breakfast was a highlight, with an amazing variety of freshly baked pastries.

A lovely homely property, Stefano was a super welcoming friendly host who made us feel right at home. The property is beautiful and offers wonderful views over the lake. The room has everything you need and was very clean. There is a communal area with a kettle and some drinks that can be purchased. The breakfast was one of the standouts - we especially enjoyed the apple and cinnamon homemade jam and the pastries! Its a great location to use as a base to explore other parts of Lake Como - Varenna is only a 10 minute train journey away where there are ferries to Bellagio and Mennagio very often.

Stephano and his family were very welcoming. Although we arrived late we found him expecting us. Breakfast was freshly made and very good. The place is very old on the outside but has been thoroughly renovated on the inside.

“Tranquil hideaway at Lago di Como with fantastic host & food”

Stefano is a very welcoming host and helped us with fantastic recommendations for hikes and activities. The room was sparkly clean and very modern, with a comfortable bed and AC. It’s beautiful hidden spot and the osteria is fantastic. We enjoyed the tranquility and originality of the location a lot - sights, more restaurants and towns were in easy reach by car.

The atmosphere of the small village and the property itself was incredible. Like being somewhere a few hundred years ago with all the comforts of our times. But it is all real, not fake, not remade for tourists. It was charming, peaceful, and unique. The owner is also very kind and helpful. The restaurant on site is pleasant. Breakfast is fresh and delicious. Beautiful hiking trail and a very nice waterfall nearby.

A delightful authentic stay in a medieval Italian village . Such an experience being hosted by an Italian family and eating in their family restaurant . The whole atmosphere of the village and the narrow alleyways and views down to Lake Lecco Free parking 50 metres from accommodation .

Wonderfull staying, everything was great. Perfekt breakfast with homemade products. Stefano is very nice and helpful.
