Overview
Set in Malelane, 10.4km from Kruger Malelane Gate, Leopard Creek Country Club and our own beautifull Malelane Golf Course. Hennie's Rest offers accommodation with garden, free parking and beautiful views of Kruger Park, Crocodile River and Mountains. The property has solar panels, inverter and batteries, so you can rest assured that loadshedding will not affect you. Each unit includes air conditioning, wifi, a desk, flat screen TV, barbeque, bathroom (shower or bath), fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, indoor and outdoor dining area, living area, bedlinen, towels and a patio or deck area with Kruger Park and Crocodile River views. Malelane is is the ideal base to explore the Lowveld and the Panorama route or our bordering countries Swaziland and Mozambique

“Phenomenal for a few days in Kruger!”
First of all: no, you do not pay extra for the air conditioning, contrary to what some reviews say. Yes, the AC has to be set to a maximum of 20°C (possibly due to power consumption). There is a washing machine (very convenient) and a dishwasher. These are not allowed to run after 5 PM (again, likely because of electricity usage). The showers are perfectly fine. Our girls even took a bath, and afterward we were still able to shower. The water turned cold for a moment, but then warmed up again, totally manageable. Unfortunately, we didn’t see an elephant at the fence during our 5-night stay, but we did spot hippos, crocodiles, and waterbucks! The location is phenomenal, and the host is very friendly (I had read mixed reviews about that as well). I would definitely come back here again! Really happy we stayed for 5 nights explored Kruger at a relaxed pace (saw the Big Five) and checked out Malelane. There’s also a Superspar nearby, which is huge! With CD Tours we've been picked up here and drove a morning game drive in Kruger. Great!

“Amazing experience”
The property has a unique interior design with loads of one off pieces objets d'art, very clean, well maintained with everything one would need for a few days to a couple of weeks. The outstanding feature of this apartment is that is sits on the crocodile river so you have the opportunity to spot wildlife. We were lucky to see Buffalo, Waterbuck, Hippos to mention a few. However we were visited one evening by two elephants who came so close we could have touched them. An amazing and powerful experience that has been etched onto my soul. Thank you Cornelia.

“Breathtaking views”
Absolutely stunning place! Had everything we needed and more! The views were incredible! Had elephants greeting us right next to the wall, we saw waterbuck, hippos and crocodiles too. It was amazing, wish we had booked for a few more days! We will definitely return with our next trip! Thanks to all the wonderful staff as well!
