“Nice and relaxing stay in the South of Zanzibar”

The rooms are clean and comfortable, cosy and with a beautiful sea view! The sea is right in front of the hotel. During low tide you can take a strawl to the reef. We were alone at the beach. The service was lovely and the food tasty and well prepared. Power shortages are common and expected here in the south of Zanzibar. It was a nice and relaxing stay - we even could keep the room for the late check-out without any charge.

We really enjoyed our time at the property. It was a calm and beautiful place, perfect for a rest. The team was kind and always ready to help. We felt very welcome. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, and we also liked the food very much.

EVERYTHING, Clove island Villas & Spa, are literally as described. A peaceful, quiet getaway! The property is perfect. From arrival up To departure we felt completely at home and completely looked after! Nevena and her team and ALL staff we came across were perfect, hospital and nice! The meals were amazing too! And the pool And the direct walk to the beach! All in all, Clove Island was great! Will defo recommend

Loved our stay at Clove Island ! So clean, the cleaners are amazing. They also come in on a night and bug spray the room. Staff are absolutely lovely, so friendly and helpful. The foods so nice, we didn’t have one bad meal and enjoyed everything, breakfast is gorgeous. Management are always around and help with anything! Such a lovely, friendly atmosphere. We would definitely recommend clove island !

“Perfect stay!”

Clove Island is a beautiful property on the beach. We where travelling with our two small children (2 and 4) and we had booked the whole villa with a beautiful ocean and pool view. We stayed at Clove island 5 nights and travelled after that to Jambiani, but we did not like the atmosphere there and returned to Clove Island for 3 more nights. The place look just like in pictures and even better. The beach is clean and you can relax there! The breakfast was super - with a lot of fresh fruits, different courses to chose from. The ala carte was also very good with a lot of fresh seafood, local dishes and many suitable food options for children.

The resort is very comfortable and the beach is great for paddling. The pool is clean and nice for swimming and relaxing. Staff are amazing and food is all very good.

This hotel exceeded our expectations every single day. Breakfasts were generous, dinners delicious, with a wide selection, fresh products, and very fair, reasonable prices. The rooms were clean, all facilities worked perfectly, and the territory was well maintained and secure. We especially appreciated that beach vendors did not disturb guests inside the hotel area. We were initially a bit worried about insects, but during our three-day stay we did not encounter a single one in our room. Most importantly, the staff were exceptional — friendly, very helpful, and genuinely caring, which made our stay truly special. As a lovely surprise, there was also a live concert with great emotional depth, excellent vocals, and a strong sense of rhythm. We warmly recommend this place to anyone who values peace, relaxation, and a welcoming atmosphere.

We had a truly lovely stay at Clove Island! The bungalows are spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view, and we felt very relaxed in our room. The staff and managers were always kind and helpful — when we came back one day with a sunburn, they immediately brought us Aloe Vera, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The food was good, and they offered vegan options when we asked, which I really appreciated. It was also very convenient to be able to book activities and taxis directly through the hotel. The beach is much quieter than in Nungwi, with far fewer beachboys, which creates a very calm and pleasant atmosphere. We also enjoyed watching the tides — the strong ebb and flow were really interesting and gave the beach a special charm. Every evening, the staff sprayed our bed against mosquitoes, which was really nice. And one night there was a live band, which made the evening feel extra special. Overall, we had a wonderful time and felt very well taken care of 🥰

The Breakfast provided was Fabulous. Lot's to choose from and always delivered with a smile and to perfection. It's impossible not to be impressed by what's on offer. Something for everyone. What more do you need.

Its peaceful and right to the Makunduchi beach. Lovely staff and the best manegers. The manegers treat the staff good, it’s not like that everywhere in hotels in Zanzibar. A lovely place.

Beautiful location right next to the ocean, very nice and cozy villa, cozy furnishing, comfortable large kingsize bed with a hard mattress (I slept like a baby), nice balcony with fantastic view onto the ocean, nice kitchen and sitting area with TV, nice pool, nice bathtub in the bathroom, very kind and helpful staff, good management (Nevena and Miroslav), very good food in the restaurant, room service, delicious breakfast! I will be back for sure! :)

“A romantic getaway far from everything”

Peaceful place in a quiet corner of the island. Extremely nice and attentive staff. Delicious breakfast with a wide selection of items. Nice pool area. There are bikes you can ride for free which is a nice bonus. I would have given 10/10 if they had even a basic gym.

The surroundings were simply breathtaking — a stunning pool with comfortable loungers, lush gardens, and the white sandy beach just steps away. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and ending the day with the white sandy beach by the water felt like living in a postcard. What truly made this experience unforgettable, though, was the wonderful team. Every member of staff greeted us with a genuine smile and made sure our every wish was taken care of with warmth and professionalism.
